    Waste of Money

    • Written by from Voorhees

This cable worked great at first, but after two weeks of moderate use, the picture and audio would flicker on and off (similar to a kid playing with a light switch) to the point where we would have to prop the cord at a certain angle for it to stay on. After a week of that it completely gave out. Not with it!

    2 went bad!

    • Written by from Westlake Village

I had not one but two of these cables go bad within a one week period. Even the genius at the Apple store told me this accessory has a lot of issues. I don't mind overpaying for good products but this product only lasted a few months (twice). When I go to the Apple Store I expect them only to sell the best of the best... they clearly missed on this one.

    Breaks easily

    • Written by from La Veta

It worked great at first but the Mini DisplayPort side of the cable broke when my laptop was bumped lightly. It took some work to get the little piece out of the port on my laptop. For how much money I paid for this, I would have expected it to be able to take more than just a little bump before breaking. I replaced it with a much cheaper cable from another company that works just as well and seems to be put together a lot better than this one that cost almost 10 times as much.

THunderbolt to HDMI Adapter Itunes Issue

    • Written by from Round Rock

Here is a big problem with these adapters. I bought a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter. They claim it gives you better video quality right? Well thats true. But what they don't tell you is that if you purchase any HD movies or TV shows or any HD content from iTunes it WILL NOT PLAY on your HD Tv. WHY? its some kind of protected content scheme. You will get an error message that says " this display is not authorized to play protected content To play this movie in HD, you must move the entire window onto a built-in display or a display that supports HDC"
So in other words, DONT WASTE your Money!

There are literally thousands of threads of complaints about this on Apple Support and other Mac sites.

    Same as Everyone else

    • Written by from Bronx

Worked for less than 6 months with barely any use then just stopped working. Completely overpriced, especially for such a faulty product.

    Poor product

    • Written by from Deep River

This cord did what it was supposed to exactly 3 times before it quit. The HDMI end of the cord was hot and no signal was received from the computer. I've tried over and over to exchange it with Belkin but they are very hard to get in touch with and their online exchange site keeps giving me an error code. This was an expensive cord and I'm really disappointed. I see that I'm not the only one having trouble either. Don't take a chance on this one.

    a don't product

    • Written by from AMSTELVEEN

Agree with Camille, have the same experience. Mine worked the first day, then left the cable in the TV, avoiding plugging in/out, second day not working anymore. Mac air did blink to blue screen but on TV no video signal. Tried everything

    A regrettable purchase

    • Written by from Richmond

Was working fine at first and had no issues then two weeks later after inactivity the cord doesn't even work anymore. TV won't detect it and my macbook pro just keeps flashing blue.

Not to mention how much I paid for this cord.

Save your money and find a more reliable brand.

    Works great at First

    • Written by from Tacoma

I have had this cable for a little less than a year now. I had it plugged into my Macbook air (mid 2011) it worked great for a few months. I noticed that sometimes I would have to play with it a bit to get a connection. Now its totally not working. I think 50 bucks is a lot to pay for a cable that wont even last for a year. Mind you I unplugged it daily to take my Macbook to school so maybe if your connecting it to your IMAC or something you wont be moving around it may perform flawlessly but it didn't work out for what I needed it for.

Great cable, but a little on the expensive side.

    • Written by from Pittsburg

Functions perfectly so far. Very elegant looking connectors with a glossy white plastic finish and curved shell. Slightly thick cable that's gray in color.

Overall, it works perfectly as intended, looks aesthetically pleasing. The only downside is that incredible price. This cable shouldn't be more than $30 max.

Worked for just a few weeks...

    • Written by from Williamstown

While this cable worked perfectly for the first few weeks, the image on the tv slowly deteriorated after use. I kept the cable always plugged in, so there was no possibility of damage due to bending or abuse. Even though the image was bad, I continued to use it until it was completely useless, which was a mistake because I let the warranty expire (I didn't even know it had a warranty to begin with). I am very disappointed.

Works PERFECTLY - a great solution!

    • Written by from Louisville

This is the perfect solution to connect your Mini DisplayPort-equipped Mac to your HDTV.

It worked 100% out of the box and is far less unwieldy than using the version that ends in a female HDMI socket, requiring connecting a separate HDMI cable between it and your TV.

Given the price difference between this and the unit that just provides the jack is minimal, I would highly recommend this product for a "one piece" connectivity solution.
