Elegant, compact, thin, and offers good protection. Unfortunately the way the two pieces of leather come together (Stitched on the inside with excess fabric) can harm your phone specifically the sides of the phone (antenna)

I noticed the phone had "wear and tear" on the sides from sliding it in and out of the case a few times...

I had the old version of this for the 3GS, and it was awesome, except that after about a year the liner started to peel away. However, they updated it and there is now stitching at the top to prevent this.

FYI, it will feel VERY snug in the beginning, but like all genuine leather products, it will break in and eventually become a perfect fit.

I love the iPhone's design, so I refuse to hide it with protective cases that stay on while you use the phone. This gives it a nice layer of protection (except the top of the phone) while not in use, but I can easily remove it and use the phone in its naked state (which I prefer).

I get comments on this case all the time, and once they see it in person, they usually go buy one.

I love this iPhone case. It is a little flimsy but perfect for what I need. It's also almost indestructible, my dog just chewed on it for almost 20 minutes before I realized it and not even a scratch.

I had this same case for my blackberry and just got the one for the iphone 4. I agree with SH that this case is almost impossibly snug when you first put it on. Sorry to hear about that struggle, but it did bring back memories of that same problem I experienced when I first used my blackberry version (how does one get this thing outta the case??). Then someone showed me you simply pinch the bottom of the case and the blackberry pushes up and out. On the iphone 4 version, the case is too snug the first few days for even that (though if you grab the top flaps and push it up from the bottom, it's a breeze). You need only do that for first couple of days until the case stretches. After day 3, you've got a slim, beautiful case that allows you to fit the phone comfortably in your pocket and a case the iphone glides out of easily. Sorry SH that you had to take scissors to it.

I read the previous comments about the interior stitching causing marks or scratches on the sides of the iPhone. After a few hours of use, I noticed some marks on the sides, but they aren't scratches, they are some sort of harmless residue from the stitches that can be easily wiped off (using lens cleaners that I use for my eyeglasses, which are terrific for cleaning your iPhone). The pouch does protect the front of my iPhone as it jostles around in my backpack, so I guess it's okay, but it seems awfully expensive for what you get.

It is a really nice sleeve however it one big flaw. The stitches that are at the top will leave marks at the top of both the front and the rear of the iphone.

I ordered the red pouch on 3.09.12 and it arrived today the 6.09.12. The pouch is lovely, very slick and looks fabulous with my iPhone inside. I have tried lots of other cases, but this one is just perfect. The quality is very good with the phone fitting the pouch very well. Not bulky like other cases and does not hide any of the beauty of the iPhone like hard cases do.

I enjoy this case. You basically slip in/out your iPhone 4. I like my iPhone 4 in its natural state. No bulky covers. No add ons. Isn't that the point of a sleek design? I need it, I slip it out. I'm done and slip it back in and into my pocket. Pretty basic, simple, and elegant. So if you don't like to mask your iPhone4 and like to keep it in it's natural state I believe you'll like this case. It's leather and well constructed. I also use a thin protective film on my iPhone 4 and it does not interfere in any way. Slips in/out perfectly. I'm sure you'll like it.

This is a beautiful leather cover. Yes, it's a bit tight initially, but you simply need to push your iPhone up from the bottom until about it's about 1/4 out and then you can easily pull it out fully.
The big flaw is what it does to your camera lens. After I had used the case for a month or two, my lens was totally scuffed with micro-scratches. The camera became basically unusable.
I've now had my lens replaced, and since I really do love the cover, I'm trying to figure out how to use it without destroying the new lens. I'm starting with a small piece of lens cloth and removable tape, but hope to find a more elegant long-term solution.
I'd love to know if anyone has figured out a good solution to this problem.

Have had this for over 5 months now. Slight signs of wear on the stitching but the overall integrity of the case has remained intact. Case feels great, looks great and makes my iPhone look that much more elegant.
