    Quality bag, good size

    • Written by from Toronto

I use this to carry my laptop and other gear around to clients for onsite visits. I'm able to fit everything I need to bring with room to spare, without jabbing me in uncomfortable places, and without distorting the design of the bag.

After a week of use, my only complaint is that there's no rubber/sticky side of the shoulder pad, so it can (and will) slide off at some angles.

    Would definitely buy again.

    Very Good bag

    • Written by from Honolulu

So far I had this bag for only about a week but I have to say that I love it. Its durable, holds my macbook in a convenient to access pocket; even though the metal sliding clip is sometimes a hassle, it works fine. This bag holds my folder, charger, and other school supplies. Built very well.

    good bag with a flaw

    • Written by from Konstancin-Jeziorna

This is a very good, spacious bag that can fit anything you need. Turned out to have quite a big flaw for me - the zipper that is used to close the back pocket for the computer is getting used very quickly on one of the corners. After about a year of using it, I need to fix that repeatedly once in a while now.

It's nice, but not what I needed.

    • Written by from SEVIERVILLE

The bag is well done, but I need more interior organization pockets. I don't like having to rifle thru a lot of stuff--I want things neat & in their places. So I am returning this bag and trying the Tucano bag. I liked the messenger-style of the Thule though, and I actually found the clips others have complained about to be quite nice & not hard to manipulate at all. I pretty much hate the big Thule on the strap and on the bag itself, because it makes it too masculine for me. It's a weird mix with the polka dots... So it's definitely a nice bag, just not for me.

    HATE the closure method--aluminum buckles

    • Written by from Roma

I wish I had known about the closure method, the aluminum buckles that slide horizontally onto nylon loops.
It is extremely awkward and slow, while secure and silent. I would take it over velcro any day, or even the PIQUADRO magnetic closure.

    Still perfect after a year

    • Written by from Portland

I've owned this bag for about a year, and use it at least five days a week. most days it transports clothes, a 15" macbook pro, an iPad, headphones, and miscellaneous other things. It's the perfect size for me; compact and never in the way, but holds plenty of stuff. It's also really well padded; I literally throw the thing into my passenger seat every morning and I never have to worry. Finally it's incredible durable - it still looks as good as the day I bought it. No stains, tears, frays, bad stitching, nothing.

Some people have complained about the closure method--aluminum buckles that slide horizontally onto nylon loops--and while it is a bit awkward and slow, it's incredibly secure and silent. I would take it over velcro any day. It also requires no adjustment like a traditional snap or strap+buckle closure would - there are four rows of nylon loops, and you just choose whichever row will fit the contents securely. All in all I think the positives outweigh the negatives.

I love this bag, of the dozen or so I've owned it's far and away the best. If I lost it I would buy another one immediately.

    Excellent bag

Very well-built bag with high attention to detail. I put my 13" MBA inside a Thule 13" MBA sleeve (also very nice) and then in the laptop pocket in the messenger bag. Great fit. Bag looks great too. Love it.

    Not well built.

    • Written by from PROVO

I got this bag based off the high reviews I have seen. It has not even been a weak since I got this bag and already the stitching is coming apart where the carrying handle is located. Good bag if you do not plan on carrying anything moderately heavy. All I had in my bag was the iPad and a 1 1/2 inch notebook with paper and a few pencils. I say look elsewhere.

Not as good as others reviewed

    • Written by from Milwaukee

As another person noted here, there are issues with this expensive bag, and I was surprised on how highly rated it is. First, the so-called clasps are a pain to open/close quickly. The side that the laptop fits on only really has room for the laptop, and not much else. And there is a mysterious open slot on the outside of the case next to the laptop area - it is a very tight space, and I really could not get much of anything to fit without putting too much stress on the laptop. The other side is roomy, but only to a point. There is no convient place for a power supply or mouse (a big fail in my opinion) - they don't fit in the side pouches that well at all. I will be returning this poorly designed bag.

    Shocked at the good reviews

    • Written by from Wake Forest

I was very disappointed with this bag and the fact it had good reviews. Based on the reviews I thought this was the bag for me, it wasn't. My biggest complaint was the flap. Look closely at the picture, those silver buckles aren't buckles, or quick releases, or anything useful. They are little metal things you have to slide into and out of loops in order to open the bag. Very annoying design if you are moving around and always in and out of the bag. It just wasn't worth it, and I was happy Apple has a great return policy.

    Absolutely Amazing

    • Written by from Merrill

This bag has everything I could imagine. I bought it on a whim from other good reviews on the Apple Store and I must say I am glad I did. I bought this to carry my Macbook 15" and it does that very well, it stays snug and secure. But there is also so much more room inside. It has so many extra pockets and pouches that it has become my only college caring gear. I can fit said macbook, my iPad within its own case, my blackberry torch within a nice crush-proof case, my external hard drive and cable, and my laptop power adapter, and there still is room! It also looks stylish, with black and grey water-resistant nylon. Highly recommend for any laptop!

    Well-constructed bag with many features

    • Written by from Edmonton

This bag pretty much has it all. The laptop compartment is held right against your body with additional padding, and with the bag open it allows for the bag to pass through airport security without removing the laptop by having the laptop stay separate from all the cables, etc. There's a special compartment with a Velcro enclosure just for your iPhone (my iPhone 4 fits perfectly in its Griffin Slim case in the compartment). The strap is nicely adjustable and there's an additional carry handle available. One of the coolest things is the pass-through slot which allows you to put the messenger bag through the extended pull handle of your airport luggage (should work with any luggage but works ESPECIALLY well with the Thule brand of luggage). The aluminum hooks that hold the bag shut are fantastic, so much better than a plastic buckle. Can't say enough about the build quality, how well-placed everything is, how good the zippers are, and how slick the water-resistant material is. Matches the Thule Crossover Backpack perfectly if you are into that sort of thing.

I was particularly impressed to see the 25 year warranty. You can tell a lot about a product by the way the company stands behind it (i.e. Apple).

Nice...Few things to make better....but worth buying.

    • Written by from MANASSAS

This is a really nice bag. Plenty of room for laptop and other things. I like the secure clips on the bag but they take a little practice to work correctly. The shoulder strap cannot be removed and either hangs out or you can stuff in the bag if you don't want to use it. Would have been better if strap was removable. Despite these things I'm very pleased with this bag.

    MY BEST BAG YET

    • Written by from Durham

I have a lot of Apple products and I travel a lot as a media consultant. The Thule Crossover Messenger Bag is one of the best things that has ever happened to my 'normadic' lifestyle. It gives me the peace I need as regards my equipment in transit. It has completely rendered the other bags useless!

This bag is awesome, its a great size. Big enough to carry everything you need and small enough you wont stuff it with unwanted things. I use it for my MacBook Air, works perfect...!

Extremely well build, great design and very attractive looking.

    Simply an Amazing Bag

    • Written by from Canton

I bought this bag because my other book-bag just couldn't hold everything. I started to cram everything into it and it just got too heavy to haul around campus everyday. So I bought this, thinking that it could carry my load; and it does perfectly. I carries my 13'' MacBook Pro, both in and out of its Incase sleeve, and has enough room for my ipad as well. The interior is so roomy, there is plenty of room for a day's worth of classes. What I think I like most is that after I pack all my textbooks and notebooks, theres about 5 inches left for me to put my headphones or charger. All the extra pockets and zippers really help as well and come in very handy. The price may be a little much but I feel that it is definitely worth it. The bag is made of a strong, durable material that is water resistant, and has more than enough room for all your books and high-tech gadgets.

My only complaint is that the shoulder strap isn't all that adjustable, but it is not all that big of a deal.

I strongly recommend this bag to anyone looking for a new book-bag.

    As Good As it Looks

I am really enjoying this bag and the cool style. It's great for holding my macbook pro, ipad, magic mouse, documents and much more without overcrowding things. Also nice to finally have a messenger bag with a small handle on the top for an easy grab and go. Totally worth the price.
