Best Answer
Composite and component are two different output standards that carry video and audio for devices hooking up to your TV. Component video is made up of 5 cables: red, blue, and green for video, and red and white for audio. Composite is 3 cables: yellow for video, and red and white for audio. Component cables will give you the best picture of the two, but you can only use it if your TV has a component video input. Look on the back of your TV to see if you do. If you only have a composite input, you should buy that cable.
