Will My iphone 4 with the otterbox defender case mount onto this docking station? or will I have to take the case off to dock my iphone 4??
It is too much trouble to take the case on and off. I'm looking for a dock that I can mount my iphone 4 too while it's still in the otterbox defender case... Will this Dock work??

The iPhone display works as usual, going off after a certain amount of time. You can also turn it off yourself. I would imagine the iPod would work the same way.

Listed in the product description it says that the radio picks up FM stations. Nothing is said about AM stations, so it would be safe to assume that the stereo does not pick them up.

I have a OtterBox on my iPhone 3GS. I am hoping I can keep the case on the phone and still plug it in to the dock on this clock!

Yes you can. But it will only depend on the size of the case. i have a DGTEC All in one system and a silicone case on my ipod touch 4th gen and my cae won't fit in the socket because the case is to big

what Iphone 4 cases have you found to be compatible with this docking station?
I do own the docking station and love it! I currently have the rocketfish case and it fits but I was looking for a bit more of a protective case. Do you know of other models that have been tested to see if they fit with this docking station (Phillips DC290 Docking Clock Radio with remote) so I can look into them to see if they are what I am looking for?
