What would be an optimum surface for usage?
This isn't a question of what surface will or will not work as that becomes obvious immediately. I'm just curious which type of surface would be optimum as far as accuracy, the physical sound of the mouse sliding, etc. This isn't something that would matter for normal computer use but being in the design field requires the majority of my time using the mouse so minor things become major pretty quickly. :-)

Is there a way to initialize the mouse so the touch surface works on linux?
I'm trying to get the touch part to work on linux but the mouse is only sending mouse position, left and right click, is there any command that I need to send to this device in order for it to start sending some feedback from the touch surface?

Can this be used as a trackpad as opposed to moving the mouse itself?
I like the design of this mouse, but I'm not interested if I still have to move it. Since its multi-touch, I would expect the surface to work like trackpad...it just makes sense. I was wondering if this was possible because I didn't see it demonstrated in the video.

Is it made out of the same surface as the Mighty Mouse? The mighty mouse didn't move very fluently .
I owned the mighty mouse, and I was disappointed on how well it moved on my mouse pad surface. My mouse pad is a professional gaming mousepad (which I no longer use for gaming). I was just wondering if it moves any better around the mousepad?

Can up and down be reversed?
I'd like to be able to use the mouse upside down with my thumb rubbing past the "eye" like a trackball. This is for use without a table or other flat surface. So I want to know if the up and down can be reversed so it's more intuitive. As it is, it's a bit outside my mental abilities to control it well. btw, left and right work fine.
