It's safe to wear the Nike+ FuelBand in the shower or when dancing in the rain. You should be able to rinse off without a worry. Please be sure the USB leads are dry before docking the FuelBand to your USB port.

Since it's not waterproof, it's not recommended for use while swimming (or other activities on the water- wakeboarding, surfing, etc.).

Your FuelBand should be rinsed thoroughly in fresh water after being exposed to salt water or chlorine.

  • I shower with mine on every day, and have soaked it with numerous workouts. After three months it is still just fine. Wouldn't want to swim with it on, though.

  • The Fuel Band is water resistive, however it is not recommended by the manufacturer for you go swimming in it, but it is fine for the shower after practice or if you get caught in the rain.

  • A shower for sure. I've been showering with mine every single day for the last 4 months and haven't had any issues. You get a good amount of Fuel in the shower. It's not worth taking it off if you're competitive with your count!

  • it is not waterproof....so...you cant do laps in a pool, or swim in the ocean. it is water resistant...you can shower with it on...you can be in the rain with it on....

the test is it should not be submerged in water.

i leave it on when i shower. i take it off in my pool, or when i am at the ocean.

  • The unit is water resistant. It is not meant to be used in water everyday. Sweat, washing dishes, etc is okay as long as you dry it off after use.
