Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic

I have iPod Touch gen 2 8 gb. If I get these headphones, will I be able to use voice control?

Can you use voice control?? Like when you're playing music, where you can say "next song" or something like that. I know the mic DOES work for things like recording your voice, but does my iPod have the music voice control capability?

    You will be able to use them in the voice memo app but not for voice control. Only gen. 3 32 and 64 gb. can do that.
