I have car with sync feature and on- board USB port. Can I charge my iPad?

I use iPod in my Ford Edge, which is equipped with USB port. Can I do the same with New iPad, and can the car charge my device?

    Yes. Mine charges slower obviously than when plugged in via the wall socket power adapter, but it does charge via Ford's Sync system. You won't get as much usage off of a charge this way, as I felt like the battery went down quicker after charging in the vehicle.
