Does/can product (or app) store map info for times when riding outside of cellphone network range? Is GPS data reintegrated when back in 3G range?

Is mapping data available (regional, topographic, etc) for onboard use when out of cellphone network range (with iPhones) or when used with iPods?

    Yes, when out of cell phone network range the iBike Dash stills stores GPS coordinates in its ride file. The included iBike software (Mac and PC) allows you to see your ride information and to obtain a full map of your bike route.
