does the iphone microphone still work?

I want to know if this splitter is iPhone microphone compatible -- could you use it, for example, to have people listen in on headphones on a phone call, while you talked?

    well, if you're talking about using the Apple earphone+mic the mic will simply not work. this is because the green cable(the one connects your ipod to the splitter)'s tip has a standard 2 rings(right and left audio) while the mic needs another extra ring.
