Can it use its own wifi to connect to your main wifi, and be controllable away from home in that way?

    As far as i know the drone only supports Ad Hoc networks and not Infrastructure mode. That means it should NOT be able to connect to any existing WiFi network. So your ideal probaböy won't work.

  • No, your drone must be in wifi range of the controlling device, like your iPad or iPhone. You don't connect it to your home network. You CAN'T connect it to your home network. Some folks do you wifi range extenders with their drones, but your range extender, drone, and iPhone must all be in relatively close proximity.
