Adapter and Home Theater

My HDMI tv is currently connected to my Samsung home theatre system . So, I get sound through my home theater system
I want to use this cable adapter to connect my iphone so I can listen songs via home theatre and video on the TV. Will this work? . Will I need to connect the iphone via HDMI to TV or to the Home theater?

  • you would need to connect it to your tv because the home theater system takes the sound from your tv so you would see your device on the hdtv and your sound would come out of your home thearter system or speakers you have attatched to your tv
