No, this would be a spec boasted highly on its front page. There is a kit you can buy if you are wanting to power the airport extreme via PoE from a third party.

PoE is not PPPoE.
PoE (Power over Ethernet) describes a system to safely transfer electrical power, along with data, to remote devices over standard category 5 cable in an Ethernet network. You DO NOT require a addition power supply on the device that is hook on to the Ethernet cable i.e IP phones, IP Camera or a Wifi Point that accepts PoE. The power is supplied through the Ethernet cable itself from switch/router/Wifi controller.
PPPoE is a network protocol for encapsulating Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) frames inside Ethernet frames.

If I'm not mistaken, I think what you may be referring to is PPPoE which stands for Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet. The Airport Extreme does indeed support this standard. See the following page: (this web application does not permit entering web addresses correctly, so I had to spell out the dots in longhand) wwwdotappledotcom/airportextreme/specsdothtml This is the technical specifications page. Look under Compatibility. I hope this helps!
