Will this remote work with streaming video?

There are a variety of players used for streaming video, so I guess my real question is: Can this remote operate as a mouse/navigate online?

    Yes, and no. It depends on the application that you're trying to control. You won't be able to control Safari with the Apple Remote, but you can control Hulu Desktop with the Apple Remote (I currently do this with my Mac Mini media center). The Apple Remote won't operate as a mouse. It will more or less work with programs that use standard keyboard commands (like spacebar to play/pause, etc.)

    There are also applications you can download that will allow you to customize the way that the remote commands are interpreted by the computer and different programs (i.e. Remote Buddy), so feel free to check those out and see if they meet your needs.
