Improved & updaqted?
I read an article that said the Airport Extreme and Time Machine(capsule) have been (quietly) updated with an improved antenna design. I see no indication on the AirPort web page that anything has been changed. Did it change?

Yes, it is updated. You can find the tag "NEW" next to "Faster performance" on the Airport Extreme page.
According to the description- "improvements in antenna design give you up to 50 percent better Wi-Fi performance and up to 25 percent better range than with the previous-generation AirPort Extreme Base Station."- Answered by PV from 箕面市
