When it says the Magic mouse can be right or left button, does it mean at the same time - as for using with PC applications? and on-line games

Actually, I'm not sure the above answers are fully correct. I can get the magic mouse on my new iMac to left click and right click just fine (after turning on secondary click). However, at least world of warcraft does not recognize clicking both buttons simultaneously (used by many people to Move and Steer). So, it does not work just like other mice - two button click doesn't seem to be supported (unless someone can show me what I am doing wrong).

My experience is NO, it does not activate both buttons simultaneously. I play games (Guild Wars 2) that require this for input, and I have to switch to another mouse when playing those games.

First, the Magic Mouse is a two button mouse, meaning you can left-click and right-click for Mac and Windows applications. Yes, it supports both buttons simultaneously.
Second, you can configure your Magic Mouse to be left-handed or right-handed. This means that the 2 buttons can be reversed so that a left-click for a right-handed person is the same as a right-click for a left-handed person.
So a resounding YES on both accounts.- Answered by Jim P from Superior
