do the links make it smaller as well as larger? The size of the med/large is 172 mm so can it be reduced by 8mm or increased by 16mm via the links?

    No, you can not make it smaller. The base band is a fixed length. You can increase the size by adding the small link, or the large link, or both links.

  • Yes. When you first take it out of the box, the 8mm link is attached. There is a little tool that is included that makes switching the links really easy.
