Does the unlocked iPhone 4 work without a sim card?

I want to use it like an iPod touch & without a service. I do not have a mobile carrier at the moment & do not wish to have one anytime soon.

    Absolutely. As long as you have an active Wi-Fi connection, it will function exactly like an iPod Touch.

    Turn off the cellular data option to make it not try and find cellular service which could drain the battery faster.
