So I've had my CandyShell for about a month and I looooove it! After a lot of tedious research I finally chose the CandyShell. I wanted something that would protect my iphone, but also look slick. I definitely feel like it would protect my iphone if i dropped it (but i'm not going to test it anytime soon). I chose the purple one because I wanted a dark color but not a boring black one. This fits the bill. It does scratch up easily (hence the 4 stars) but it doesn't bother me much. I rather it scratch my case than my phone. After owning the CandyShell for 2 weeks here are my impressions:
Pros:
Good styling - i love the way it looks wish it has more colours though.
Good quality - the fit and form of the case is top notch. The case fits very snugly.
Good protection - the phone slipped out of my pocket while i was sitting on a chair. The phone was not damaged in anyway.
Cons:
This one gets me really angry! The screen protector scratches way too easily!! The cleaning cloth that it comes with scratches it! Its not like i am carrying my iphone and my keys in the same pocket or anything. After 2 weeks my screen protector is completely scratched up.
The case also tends to heat up the iphone during charging and intense gaming.

A little on the thick side, but otherwise great

I've had the case for about one week and am happy with it so far. The case does make the phone thicker than the inCase silicone wrap did, but it seems less likely to stretch and tear and the phone now slides much more easily in and out of pockets/purses. I've dropped it once from about three feet onto a wood floor and found not a scratch or crack on either the case or the phone.

The case is great for protection and I love the color, but it breaks right under bottom button. My first case broke within 2 months and it was replaced free of charge. I had no issues with getting it replaced. I have had the second case for 2 months and it just broke. I have dropped my iPhone a few items and the case protected it from any damage. …More

i was really happy for the first week i had this case. i got the blue one. it scratches really easily. like others, the plastic piece under the home button has broken not only on my speck case for the iphone but for the itouch as well, i use speck cases on both. the top button is very hard to push as well. protects the phone well but does add a bit to it and makes it pretty thick, which isn't really my preference. overall good case but just not for me, i guess.. …More

You will have to remove the candy shell case to charge ur iPhone on the dock. It's not bad to remove the case. It's easy to remove and place it right back. Speck Candy Shell is a great case product. Also try Speck SeeThru that just came out. Hope this answer ur question. …More
