I purchased this because I needed something that didn't require a lot of space. This wasn't as long as the others, which may be why the sound quality isn't great. However, this is an alarm clock with your ipod sound, not a sound system.
I give a big thumbs up to the horizontal or vertical view of the ipod, and love how the time adjusts to whichever way you set it.
Mine did come with a remote control, which is nice. So, if you want an alarm clock that plays your ipod sounds, or movies and doesn't take up much space, this is it. If you are looking for high quality sound, this is not it. …More195 of 206 people found this useful

It does come with a little battery, but it does not allow you to play music or charge your iPod without being plugged into an outlet. The battery is just to protect the clock from being reset in a power failure. …More
