perfect fit every time
Written by PP from Griswold

the pmx80 was an impulse holiday buy for myself. they do not go all the way in your ears which is awesome for me as i like a snug fit, but not in my ear canal. this allows me to hear the road noises and traffic when I run, daily. the cable is thin yet incredibly strong. i wrapped it around a 25 lb dumbell to test it and it held up. the sound is full and dynamic. i can hear a lot of details in my music, like the body "shift" at the end of "A Day In The Life" from Sgt peppers. this is inaudible on many high end speakers costing thousands. they sort of FLOAT around your head and they are actually pretty low profile. i give it 5 stars for comfort, strength/cable, sound quality and value (2 year warranty) …More

Just what I was looking for!
Written by BT from Anaheim

Needed a good ear bud / headphone for my time at the gym and for general use. My ipod earbuds were pulling out due to bumping ou jerking on the wire. Also I put the ear buds in a non-typical fashion, with the speaker grill forward (90 degrees to normal for an ipod earbud), not pointing into my ear. My ears have been through a lot. These behind the neck headphones are comfortable and secure while made to push the sound forward, they sound wonderful [I hear more of the music than before, equal to a "B" word set of earbuds I have], and they are supposed to be moisture proof. I have owned these only a short time so I hope they last - seem well constructed. …More

Not the best
Written by MM from Saskatoon
4-Dec-2009
When I initially bought these, I needed something for working out and they are great headphones for that. But if you ever want to listen to music while sitting down or lying down with your head against something, forget about it. They are very loose in the back and you cannot lie down with these things on. The best you can do is tilt the back upwards or downwards which is NOT comfortable. I understand that they are mainly for running but that was a major drawback I had with these headphones was that I also like to listen to music while lying down, etc. And less than 3 weeks after I purchased them, the sound in the left ear had completely disappeared. Even after wire re-jiggling, it would only have staticky sound at best and then the sound would disappear again. I was not rough with them at all either. I returned them the next day and swapped them for the Sanheiser ear hooks. Good for working out but if you are part of the 99% of the population that does not live at the gym 24/7, you might want a more multi-purpose pair. …More

Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II Headphones for iPhone and iPod
Great sound and durability but awkward band design.
Written by PV from Biscayne Park

For a sport headphone these give really great sound. They're also really durable. I used them almost daily for two years without any sound or electrical problems. They only broke after I sat on them a dozen times and managed to crack one of the arms. With reasonable use and less abuse, they could have lasted several more years. The only problem was that these stick out of your ears really far. It's not a problem for running or normal gym use, but If you try to wear them with a winter hat, they'll push the hat away from your ears enough for wind to get in. …More

Large Neck Band and Earphones
Written by KB
20-Oct-2009
The sound quality is great but for most women the neck band might fit too big (the company should make an adjustable neck band) and the earphones are quite large so it doesn't fit perfectly in place. The sound quality is good but I'm not sure if it was built for unisex usage. I have to wear the neck band above my ponytail to keep it in place during jogging. …More

Does it work with the Ishuffle?
- Asked by RD from LONDON

Best Answer
This product does not feature controls for the brand new iPod shuffles (3rd gen). It will however work if you purchase a separate adapter that does have the controls. I know Belkin sells a 3rd Gen adapter that works really well, and you can find it right here in the apple online store.
If you have a 2nd gen iPod shuffle model and prior (or any other iPod model) these headphones will work fine. …More- Answered by CC from DAVIE
