    Apparently, it's hard to find a car charger that works with the iPhone 3G. Well, this one does and works well. I wasn't a fan of the coiled cable at first, but it makes the unit quite compact when it's not in use. Nothing particularly fancy, but it does the job well. …More

    Short cord, eh..

    The charger does what it is supposed to do, charge. The problem is the cord. It is'nt necessarily "short" like some other reviews state, but I think the problem is that the coiling of the cord is too "tight," which makes it seem too short. It is a good charger but not the one for you if you want to comfortably hold the phone from more than a foot or two away while it is being charged. The coil of the cord with spring the phone from your hand. I've tried to stretch the cord over time, but it remains taut. …More

    Don't Buy if You Listen to Music with an Aux Cord!

    I've used this charger, but it is slow to charge either my iPhone 3G or my wife's 3GS. Worse yet, in our Honda Fit and Toyota Sienna, it introduces a low level whine that drives us all crazy when charging and listening to music using a quality auxiliary cord connection to the vehicle audio system. I've swapped out other (even cheapo) chargers and they don't introduce this ground loop artifact. There are other much better chargers on the market. I bought 2 Belkin units with double USB connections so we can charge one phone while listening to music or using a GPS app on the other. A bit more money, but much better, no sound problems. …More

    I do like this charger, but the coiled cord is just too short for me. I am going to exchange it for the straight cord one that Griffin also has. I love the lighted ring which changes colors to tell you how charged your phone is. & the light is not too bright like the last charger i bought & returned from AT&T. It was distracting while I drove. I also like how the other Griffin charger also can be used with a USB port, I just hope that the cord is a little longer. …More
