Works Great, Way over priced
I choose this because the 29$ option without a cord I knew would be incompatible with cases and the like so I paid $10 more to get something that would actually work. Considering that they are changing this I would have thought they'd include one with the phone.
Enough griping, this cable works great and has even made it easier for me to talk on the phone while it is plugged into my car. The cable I had was a little too short to not have a constant tugging from the coiled cord. Now with the extra 20cm I can talk comfortably. …- Written by Dana P from Kennesaw

Lets me control my iphone through my car electronics
I bought this to connect my 5 to my car (Benz) electronics so I could control my phone with the car's joystick. Plugged it in and it worked perfectly (to my surprise). My car has a 30 pin cable out and this 30 pin to Lightning fit perfectly and is long enough to the two cables together can connect to the phone while in the cup holder.
My only complaint is the price (thus the 4 star rating). Apple should include one of these with every device as we've all made investments in 30 pin cables over the past 7 years. Starting to lose my patience with Apple over this one. …- Written by Kenneth D from Fremont

It Works!
If you're like me you have at least 4 30 pin white cables; one at the office, one in each car and at least one at home. You buy t his adapter because it works with your phone case Andy you carry it with you. White lightning connector cables are $19 and you can get white 30 pin cables for just a few bucks. You use this connector to use the 30 pin cables you have now. If you have to buy 4 lightning cables that's $80 and you still can't use the 30 pin docks without the adapter. This adapter while over priced at $39.99 it is still less than buying all new sync cables. This is a 5 star product but I only gave it 4 stars because of the price and Apple finding another way to make my wallet a little lighter. Apple you should have included one with the device, most of us would have bought at least one more. …

The absolute WORST charger ever
This is the worst charger I have EVER experienced. It seems as if it were designed to break just so I have to buy a new one every two months. The price to replace a simple charger is beyond ridiculous. Honestly, I don't have the money to keep replacing my charger over and over again. With the old charger, I never experienced so many problems, it is just with this one that I am. I am extremely disappointed in this product. Right now as I write this, my phone is completely dead because in the middle of the night my charger quit working completely, so now I have to take time out of my day to track down a way-too-expensive charger and buy yet another one. …

Terrible Charger
I am on my 3rd iPhone 5 charger, although yes, apple has great customer service in replacing these chargers, it is a HUGE inconven ience to have to go replace a charger about every 2 months. I don't know what it is but the cord keeps "severing" and it will become very touchy in how the phony lays while it charges to all of a sudden not charging at all. Not to mention how short the cord is. In general I truly dislike this charger for the new Apple products. …

Junk
Stops working after a few weeks of being in my car. I've been through three of these and apple wont replace them because they clai m they where water damaged but they have never seen water it must be the moisture in the air but if the moisture in the air can corrode this $45 cable and render it unusable well then there is obviously a problem …
