I just bought this adapter for my iPhone 5.
I have the speck candyshell case on, and this adapter fits right in even with the c I just bought this adapter for my iPhone 5.

Also, it feels like my iphone charges faster with microusb and this adapter than with the apple charger.
This product is a MUST-HAVE.

Connect your supplied cable to your device and USB to your computer. If the computer doesn't open a Connect your supplied cable to your device and USB to your computer. If the computer doesn't open automatically to the device's 'Internal Storage', for Windows go to 'Computer' (Win8 'This PC') and look for the iPad 'removable' drive. Click on 'Internal Storage' and find the folder with your pics in then select pics and either Copy & Paste or drag to a computer folder. Check to see the pics are there on your computer. Disconnect USB, go to device and delete the pics on your device, knowing they are backed-up. Another way is to use 'Cloud', folder selection with iTunes Sync and the like. …

As far as we publicly know, the iPhone 5 will use a maximum of 5W (5V x 1.0A) to charge. The maximum As far as we publicly know, the iPhone 5 will use a maximum of 5W (5V x 1.0A) to charge. The maximum power for for micro USB by specification is 9W (5V x 1.8A). Even if using the 12W charger (or a 1000W charger), the iPhone will only draw 5W. If you were to use another device that wanted more power (iPad 4th gen - wants up to 12W), you might be limited by the physical USB connector cable as 9W might be the maximum physically possible. If more power was delivered through the micro USB cable, it may heat up, cause a fire, or short circuit unless the cable and pins were intentionally designed to surpass specification. …

I tried this adapter on a Best Buy micro charger, an LG charger, and a HTC Inspire charger and it all worked, I even tried it on my wife Iphone 5c and it also worked. No error messages for this person. This was really a good investment for all the different size cords I have. I will need to buy another one. Just wish it was a little cheaper. …
