    This was a very nice tool with Snow Leopard, worked great! Since I upgraded to Lion (they removed Front Row), it only controls iT This was a very nice tool with Snow Leopard, worked great! Since I upgraded to Lion (they removed Front Row), it only controls iTunes - when I say it controls iTunes, I mean you can play a song or video that is already selected but you cannot change the selection. Additionally, you can control the volume; otherwise, it is useless now.

    IT'S ALUMINUM - A NON Ferrous metal -
    Translation - No iron content - ie, non magnetic.

    May I just say, this hateful little remote is my most despised piece of technology ever. Whoever designed it was going for cute, c May I just say, this hateful little remote is my most despised piece of technology ever. Whoever designed it was going for cute, cute, cute - only. I really must find a replacement or will likely ditch the Apple TV. It is not worth the useless frustration.

  • Was fine until I updated to the MacBook Retina. No IR!!

    I sat there for quite a while trying to pair the remote to my new 15" MacBook Pro Retina, changing batteries and the like before G I sat there for quite a while trying to pair the remote to my new 15" MacBook Pro Retina, changing batteries and the like before Googling and finding out it doesn't have infrared! Now how do I control video apps like VLC, when plugged into the televsion without having to get up? I don't! Crying and annoying shame I find.
