Great new keyboard

Apple has another hit on their hands and is definitely on a roll. I replaced my original apple keyboard with the new one for my Mac Pro since the original did not have a crisp enough key stroke...it seemed "mushy" sometimes...but now....amazing! …More

Apple New Wired Keyboard
Written by SG from Foothill Ranch

Hooked up the new keyboard today and its is a real site to behold. Very thin and lite weight. The new key design has a great feel and very large keys so you don't make many mistakes.
THE ONE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT IS the two usb ports will not support an ipod. I have the video Ipod and I get a warning that the USB power is too low to power the attached device. I bought this key board to clear away clutter on my desk and hopefully eliminate a few cords. Unfortunately its not true and I was disappointed. I am very much an apple fan but the low USB ports were a not as advertised on the website. …More2684 of 4253 people found this useful

AMAZING...but....
Written by SR from Altadena

Well, on the OS X side this is the best keyboard I've ever had. Took a little while to get the feel of it, but now it's second-nature. Once problem...Boot Camp. This little baby uses Function keys for audio up and down and brightness, and Vista really didn't like it. Sadly, I'm going to have to keep using my old keyboard until they update BootCamp to work with this new keyboard. That's why I'm only giving three stars. Otherwise, it'd be a full FIVE, baby!

Keys are flat and slippery
Written by SK from Austin

I work on a computer almost 8 hours a day, and do extensive typing. This keyboard seems cool and satisfies me for a couple of days. However, the practicality is doubtful at best. The keys are flat, and hence, while doing fast typing my fingers often slip and press wrong keys.
Also, the white keys are easily stained. For that reason, I cannot return this product now, and I am using it as a 2-port USB hub. I am very satisfied with a much cheaper other-brand simple keyboard. …More5 of 7 people found this useful

Apples Peripherals Are Made To Be Looked At, Not Used.

Extremely disappointed with the keyboard. First off the side USBs get in the way when you're trying to use them. Second, the USB ports couldn't even power a USB mouse and USB headset. But somehow the predecessor white USB keyboard had no problem with it. …More

I touch-type at 70-80 words per minute. Has anyone who works this quickly found the flattened profile of the new keyboard difficult to adapt to?

I personally have been using this keyboard since its release. I used the very clunky previous version of Apple's keyboard, and I was VERY used to its format. This very thin model did take me about 1-2 weeks to get used to. Now that I have used this model for a few years, I CANNOT use any other keyboard. The thinness really improves your typing speed by quite a lot. (The keys press down 1mm instead of the clunky 6-7mm of the original) So little effort is required to type, you'll actually FLY across the keyboard! I would personally recommend a switch to this from any keyboard, PC or Mac. …More
