The design of this case, like that of the cheap one that comes with the iPod, makes it necessary for you to always have to pull up the iPod to see the screen, work the controls, etc. Some of the see-through cases that expose the screen and allow you to work the controls through the case make so much more sense and most of them are about one third the price of this one. …More

alright, the first thing you need to know is where to get it. . . for THIRTY dollars. but first here is the...
Pros:
fancy
smells awesome.
interior has polishing effect on ipod making it finger print resistant.
compact
covers all of ipod w/ exception of the top.
Showcases ipod.
And Cons:
pull it out for operation.
not shock resistant.
slides in pocket/any surface.
expensive if you buy it here.
ribbon only goes half way.
there is a risk of dropping ipod when you pull it out.
So about where to get it. You can get it at any electronic store you can think of, but I do suggest you look on the store's website to make sure that they have it.
As for my opinon, I think this case rocks, it fills all my needs protection, style, simple, and it's an apple product.
one last tip get some cyrstal flims for added protection. And if you don't get this case, I would suggest an iskin.

This is a very stylish and sleek case. There was no way I was going to pay 100 bucks for it though. NO WAY. I was at circuit city and out of the corner of my eye saw them sitting there. I walked over knowing I wouldn't be walking out with it.... 32.99 So this is a great case for me. It is sad that stores will sell it on sale but apple still has it for the very unreasonable 100.00 tag. cash and stores aside... great great case. …More

I got this case for Christmas last year for my 80 GB iPod Classic (if I hadn't gotten it for Christmas, I wouldn't have it because I'm not paying hat kind of money) and it works great. It comes with typical Apple quality, its well sewn together and it fits the iPod perfectly. BUT, paying $100 (ok, $99) for something that is supposed to take the damage for your iPod is crazy. I also have a leather case (REAL leather, almost as good of quality) by Griffin and it cost $30. I can see $50, but I really don't understand why you would buy something that cost 70% more when it serves the same purpose as its cheaper counterpart. …More

I bought this together with a Black iPod Classic 2009 (160GB) and the case looks like it was made for for the new Classic, it looks just awesome. Your iPod will not fall out and the case is well sewed, its really a great investment if you want to keep your iPod safe.
