The Cinema Display VESA Mount Adapter allows your Apple flat panel display (anodized aluminum) to be used with a variety of alternate mounting solutions such as wall mounts and zero footprint articulating arms based on the VESA flat panel mounting interface (FPMI). The new Apple flat panel family features a removable desktop stand. The Cinema Display VESA Mount Adapter Kit contains a tool that allows you to remove the desktop stand and to attach the VESA Mount Adapter to the display. The display is now ready to attach to any VESA compliant mounting solution that has a 100mm x 100 mm attachment.

The Apple flat panel display line (anodized aluminum) with the VESA mount adapter attached complies with the VESA MIS-D, 100, C version of the specification.

    Solid design, easy to attach

    This mount adapter was quick and easy to install and maintains the sleek design of my cinema display. I've used it to mount the display to the Atdec Telehook Multi LCD Mount and am extremely happy with the results. (Note: Affixing the mount adapter can be done solo. It took two of us to mount the Atdec to the adapter and then to the wall.) …More

    most vesa arms have 75mm x 75mm mounts. This is 100mm x 100mm., which means you need yet another adapter. this should have just had the 75mm holes drilled in as well. …More

    Standard feature on other, even much less expensive monitors

    While this products functions perfectly, the reason for the low score is due to my feeling that this should have been included with my monitor. NOT something I need to go out and spend an additional $30 on. Especially since most other LCD monitors now have this feature built in already. I wouldn't want to ruin the esthetic, so I don't mind that it is a seperate piece, it just really should have been included. …More

    Bad Apple. As other reviewer's have pointed out, everything hinges, literally, on one tiny point and a weak little allen wrench. The point strips immediately and you are stuck with a half-on bracket that cannot be removed. Worse, if you call Apple, they disavow any responsibility for a product that they sell in a box covered with apples. I managed to complete the installation by jamming a pair of scissors into the gap and wedging the bracket out far enough so that the other pieces would catch. Not fun. Bad Apple, Bad Apple …More

    NO (basic) size description!

    Using the 'date of birth' of your ACD is a lousy way to determine the correct mount.
    This $29 unit = 5 7/8" wide / while my ACD desktop stand's mount = 3 5/8" wide.
    I could have easily detemined this was the wrong mount to bein with; saving me & APPLE the hassle.
    N O W I'm ordering the $39 version (though there's NO width listed for that model either) in the hope that it will be the correct, smaller fitting my ACD requires - though (illogically) costing $10 MORE     …More

    Easier than reviews claimed...

    I bought two of these 23" Cinema Displays and one for a 24" LED. After reading the reviews here I was really worried these were going to take some effort to get in place.

    These were really easy to install. Just followed the directions provided with the adapters and use the correct screws and bumpers for your Cinema Display.

    Only two reasons I am giving this a four instead of a five:
    1) Lack of screws provided with each adapter. $.80 per pair from Lowes (4M 10mm).
    2) The fact that I had to drop $100 to mount my three displays to a stand.     …More
