Product Information

  • Overview

Pioneer's most affordable controller, the compact DDJ-WeGO2 system gives you maximum creative control over Algoriddim djay LE and djay 2 on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. For easy setup, the DDJ-WeGO2 is bundled with the Virtual DJ LE DJ software. It's also compatible with Serato DJ and Traktor Pro 2 on your Mac or Windows PC and Algoriddim djay on your Mac.

    Mixing made easy

Thanks to a range of visual and audio cues, the DDJ-WeGO2 DJ controller makes it easy for you to learn how to mix with built-in effects and features such as Jog FX, Pulse control, and DJ software.

    Jog FX

Combine multiple effects and control them simultaneously using the Jog wheel.

    Pulse control

A variety of colored lights on the Jog platters give you visual prompts. For example, the mix pulse lights around the job wheel show the beat of tracks in play. As the beats of songs go out of sync, the lights lose intensity—so you can visually check that the beats are in sync. Launch pulse triggers a red light on the Jog wheel to signify that music has been loaded successfully. And FX pulse ensures that the effect you're applying to the currently playing song will not only be heard, but will also be represented visually via the light movements on the Jog wheel.

    DJ software

Virtual DJ Limited Edition software by Atomix Productions (Mac or Windows) offers a broad range of functions for mixing songs, including making loops and creating samples. It also gives you the ability to mix up to four channels for unlimited user creativity and mixes. The DDJ-WeGO can also support other DJ software, including Algoriddim djay LE (exclusively on Mac).

Since the connector was the same as the iPad 4th gen, I figured I'd give it a try. I also read the one previous review talking about how the iPad Air was used to test and besides it not sitting nicely in the included tray, it would be perfect.

I got it home unpacked and plugged it in, right away, noticed a clicking sound anytime I turned on the CUE or tried to prepare another track before sending it live (out to the main speakers) As long as the CUE was not in use, there is no clicking, but anytime you try to CUE a track, the clicking was back, no matter what I tried. I swapped cables and even bought all brand new ones thinking It may be my old RCA cables.. I even went as far as trying on a whole different stereo and amplifiers and the clicking during CUE was there.

No real answer as to why it happened except for the fact that the iPad Air is NOT one of the supported devices. I had to send it back and am keeping my fingers crossed that a newer version dedicated to the iPad Air will be release later this year. My setup is iPad Air (128 GB) + Algoriddim DJ 2 on iOS 7.

Pioneer + Apple = Quality Products with beautiful design.

You will need to upgrade the firmware of the DDJ-WeGO2 to work well with the app djay 2 for iPad.

The iPad Air is smaller than iPad 2, 3 & 4. So it doesn't fit well at the dock of the DDJ-WeGO2.

You can use the AC power adapter of the iPad to turn DDJ-WeGO2 on.
