Overview
The LaCie RuggedKey flash drive features tough rubber construction that helps it withstand accidental drops from heights far above what you'd encounter on your way to the office. That means ultimate protection for your key—and your data.
Withstands everyday disasters
Heat and cold resistance protect you in the most extreme of climates. Plus the RuggedKey is IP-54 certified for resistance to damage from dust and water projection.
Full-throttle transfer speeds
The USB 3.0 interface delivers speeds up to 150MB/s for blazing-fast file transfers that are dramatically faster than USB 2.0. But since the interface is backward compatible with USB 2.0, there's never any worry about connectivity.
Software secure
Ultra-secure AES 256-bit encryption protects your data from the inside—complementing the RuggedKey's tough exterior. It lets you easily create a password-protected area on the key to securely store all of your confidential information.
Secure cloud storage
LaCie makes it easy to integrate Wuala secure cloud storage into your RuggedKey, so it's a snap to store and share your files, photos or videos. You get a year of one-to-one storage ratio with Wuala (for example, a 16GB RuggedKey comes with 16GB of Wuala Secure Cloud Storage). That means you can back up your key's entire contents or double your storage capacity. Even access your files on the go with Wuala Mobile.

Unable to transfer file over 10 GB
The speed of this flash drive is very very fast, 10 GB within 1 - 2 mins. However the amount of heat it produced is enormous!! I t ried to transfer a 25 GB Blue Ray movie on to it. It says that it ll only takes 5 mins. Then after 2 mins, after it transfer around 10 GB, it flash drive is overheating so it stop automatically then ejected itself 1 min later. I can almost fry egg on it LOOOL. I tested it several times, it seems that u have to keep the file size smaller than 10 GB or it won't be able to finish the job without overheating …

A durable USB key
I have lost data on a thumb drive before purely from age and dust getting into the device. After buying the Rugged Key I hope all of those experiences are gone. The device has a rubber casing all around, protecting it from humidity, dust and other elements. I also like to be able to carry this on my keychain, so I'm never searching for it. …

Very convenient
I am very happy with this drive. It easily attaches to my keys and the rubber encasing means that I don't have to worry about the drive getting scratched or worse, losing data if the drive is dropped. I even like its secondary use as a keyring, much nicer than a generic USB drive anyway. …

Great until...
You lose the orange piece because it slides off easily...not worth the price - trying a different one / different brand now.
