Features
Apple Recommends For
Keep an eye on your baby, elderly family member, favorite pet, or your house itself using your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
Unlike stationary baby monitors, the iBaby camera follows your little one with a quick up/down, left/right swipe of your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Mac mouse. If baby moves out of camera eye, easily reposition the iBaby monitor from anywhere your iOS device or Mac can connect. Enjoy peace of mind knowing that your baby's movement or cry activates an alert to you, while two-way audio capability carries your soothing voice when it's needed most — no matter where you are.

Answer
No it doesn't ,,you only need to connect to the router first time you set it up in your home ,,for about 5 min.
Then unplug it from router and it becomes wireless ,very easy to set up if you follow instructions step by step ,,I have one and I really like it when I'm not home I can check on my dogs and listen also even talk to them ,,with my iphone or my ipad ,, …More- Answered by Michel D from Ile Du Grand-calumet
