Will the L shape on the new 85 watt adapter work on a MacBook that was using the T shape 85 watt adapter?

    Yes, If your computer is 2006 or later it should work.
    On my 2008 MacBook It came with the "T shaped" MagSafe Power Adapter, but I am using the "L shaped" MagSafe Adapter right now and it fits just fine.
