Can I plug a mac mini into a tv and use it as a computer

  Definitely yes, especially mac mini 2010 version. It's so easy. I am the first time mac user, just bought the mac mini few days ago. I just need a hdmi to hdmi cable and connect the hdmi port from mac mini to the hdmi port of my samsung 46" HDTV. Is that easy. No need other adapter.
  But i do more than that, I use an optical cable to connect the audio output from mac mini to my Pioneer home theatre system, that's made my computing system as a powerful media system! ( once connected, must go to "system Preference">"sound" menu to instruct mac to use output device)
