Really Good, but Not Great

The Mareware CEO is a horizontal case that works well. Over all, I am satisfied and I do not regret the purchase; however, this case does have a few notable cons.
Pros:
- sits horizontally on belt and isn't overly obtrusive
- a bit thick, but not bulky
- light weight
- shatter-proof case does not add to bulk of phone
- screen protector is included
Cons:
- Velcro fastener on case needs to be firmly pressed to ensure that it is completely closed
- a portion of the iPhone's screen is exposed at the bottom of the case and could potetnially scratch

I bought this case when I purchased my iPhone
and within 6 months of normal use on my belt, the clip has almost completely ripped off from the back. This is a shame because I really liked the look of the case, and it was comfortable to wear. I am going to try the Incase next and hope for better luck. …More28 of 31 people found this useful

Not bad, lasted about a year before the belt clip started to tear apart. Easy to get the phone in and out with a protective case.

Liner Frayed & Brittle Shell Case

The leather case is good overall except for the bottom part of the liner which has frayed within 2 weeks. The Apple store was great about issuing a replacement but the new one did the same thing. I have trimmed the loose threads with small scissors. (2) The tinted-clear plastic shell case is poorly made. The material is brittle and has begun to split/crack like glass around the corners. Marware replaced it under warranty but the replacement did the same thing - it's even worse the second time around. The shell case was never subjected to hard knocks or shock. The case looks good but the belt clip has worn through the leather in a very short time time and now to use you destroy the belt it is clipped on. The front and inside are like new and look great. I used the incase model prior to this case and it is over two years old and the clip on it is like it was the day I bought it. …More
