    Beautiful Cover

    I love this bright red cover for my iPad Mini. It is vibrant, protective and convenient when I'm at my bed, in class, or at a desk. Recommend this product for anyone with an iPad Mini. Though it's price may seem steep, if you have the extra cash, I would definitely recommend this.

    Looses its magnetism

    This product was great when it came out of the box but as months have passed it looses more and more of its magnetism and causes two issues!
    #1 when it covers the screen in the off position the iPad mini keeps on clicking on and off defeating the purpose of it saving its battery.
    #2 The stand is no longer strong enough to hold the iPad mini up straight.

    I just wish that Apple would insert a more solid magnet or replace the item!

    Design disappointment and very expensive.

    Yes, it is a cover of sorts, though completely inferior to the leather version I had on my iPad 2. The magnet is not strong enough, it does'nt stand up and the material and colours are poor quality. The polyurethane covered hinge is a disaster and has a very short shelf life. Apple need to look to their designers and see what is going wrong. You can't afford this sort of slide in quality in a market rife with impressive competition.

    Originally liked this cover, so slim and smart. However, the IPad mini slipped from my hand while taking pictures, and I grabbed onto the cover, but of course, the magnet did not hold and the NEW IPad mini fell to a concrete floor and dented the side slide button and up volume button, making them unusable. Would not recommend.

    AMAZING CASE!!

    I just went to Best Buy and got this case and I love it so much already, my screen is never smudged and I'm also supporting Product Red. Goes very well with my black iPad mini! Thanks Apple!

    This is a super flimsy and ineffective cover. When you fold the cover to stand up the mini ipad its not stable and the folded cover tends to release. You can't touch the screen without it falling over. This cover design is a dud. I recommend seeking an alternative cover.

    Only protects one side of the ipad and collapses under small amounts of pressure when being used as a stand. Very poor design and very overpriced!

    I love this cover, for the most part. I didn't want a bulky case to ruin the overall look and feel of the iPad Mini, so this did just what I wanted. Protection for the screen, and a stand. The stand works fantastically, and the look and feel of the cover is incredible. The magnets are so strong as well, I can hold the cover and not the iPad and it will stay on (Just in case- I don't recommend to do this). It does what I want it to, and some people complain about how it doesn't protect their iPad enough, but I must say that it isn't meant to be a case.

    One thing I do not like is that it doesn't stay attached t the back when it is flipped around, I just don't like it hanging there. Also, the price. I say it should be 29.99, not 39.99. What can you do.

    Irritating beyond belief

    Brilliant cover. Useless stand. Two options. The first, the low one for typing on, slips and doesn't hold it's shape. I've yet to find a surface where the bottom of the ipad doesn't slide pulling the supportive 'triangle' down with it.

    The second is for film viewing. Its fine on a non moving surface. It's useless on a train or an aeroplane - it wobbles before collapsing. Design testing fail.

    Disappointing

    My husband bought this and the ipad mini as a gift. I was extremely disappointed with the cover. Whenever I used it in the stand position and used the volume button on the iPad, the case would slip off.

    The one thing I can't fault is the customer service from Apple. I returned it without a fuss, and recieved a full refund.

    This product does not easily allow for the cover to transform into a stand. It folds into the triangle, but the triangle collapses.

    I Have a Love-Hate Relationship with this Product

    What I love: It's lightweight and doesn't bulk up the iPad, making it easy for me to slide into my purse to take it with me. I can also easily remove it whenever I want.

    What I hate: It's a cover, not a case. It will not protect your iPad. And, frankly, when rolling the cover back for a stand, it falls off easily.

    If all you want is something to protect the face of the iPad mini from scratching, this is a great product. Otherwise, it's a waste of money.

    I love it. It doesn't add any weight, it stands fine. Folds over nicely and stays in place. I don't understand the complaints. Other cases are heavy, bulky, and totally mess up the lightness of the mini. I've tried several. One mark off for price, though.

    Could be better for the price

    This is the first time I've purchased a Smart Cover. I decided to go for it when I ordered my iPad mini. It is a gorgeous red cover, but like another person stated, it does not lay completely flat on the screen. I also have not been able to get it to fold back and stay that way when sitting the iPad mini up on a hard surface. There is a flaw and I think for that price, this product could have been a lot better.

    As far as protecting the back of my mini, I purchased a compatible silicone clear cover for that.

    I have dropped my iPad mini MANY times on our hardwood floor etc. and every time the smart cover keeps the screen from shatering!!!! It is a great cover for the money and a excellent iPad mini essential!!! only thing, apple is, can you make a smart case for the iPad mini?

    Flat on its face!

    The design is not worth $39. I have used the larger iPad along with the smart cover and it works well. The mini, now thats another story.... The cover does stay on when closed and flat against the face of the mini-ipad. But when you fold it to prop up the mini for viewing or typing, it falls flat on it's face; you definitley can not type on the mini or the cover collapses. The magnets are definitely not strong enough! Makes you wonder if Apple ever tested the cover before putting on the market. It also does not provide any protection for the back of the mini, which I think is important. I like almost all things Apple but this one is going back to the store tomorrow!

    Very Satisfied with the Smart Cover

    When I first bought my iPad Mini, along with it, I puchased the Targis case for protection. I liked the case, but had some minor issues with it. I decided to purchase the red Smart Cover and it's great. I like that you still have the feel of the iPad without the bulky cover and it makes toting it around in my school backpack very convenient. I have not had any problems with the cover staying on or anything. I was initially concerned however, that without having any back protection, it would become scratched, but that hasn't happened. My guess is that the material prevents that from happening (and I am also extremely careful with it). I have the black iPad mini and the red looks great (my university's colors). Good buy - I love it.
