    Won't last more than 2 months

    Yet again, just like the last version, the cable stops working after a couple of months. Seems to be the case with any brand I buy and the same with the car chargers. What a racket.

    Brand new iPhone 6, new cable, 4 weeks in cable starts having problems

    Got a new iPhone 6 about 5 weeks ago, i use this same cable connected to my computer, and it stays there. I have a separate cord in my car that i also bought from Apple, and its getting the same problem. About a week ago, I randomly start getting an error "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone" shortly after i sync my phone. I say randomly, because when i first plug it in, it works, but some time after i unplug my phone i see this error on my phone screen. This cable doesnt leave my desk, and it breaks down this early.

    Second cable, one i use in my car seems to have the same issue developed, although seems for a different reason. If i look closely on the end that plugs in the iphone, there are 8 connection bits on each side. Some of them seem to have developed a small rash or (rust?) which may be preventing it from getting a solid connection. Ive tried cleaning it off, but that hasnt revived the cable.

    Whats going on Apple? I have a cable here that i got from my iPhone 5 still on my desk and working fine, something broken with the new batch?

    Horrible

    Just bought my tenth cord last week and it's already almost broken. I'm tired of having to constantly buy these faulty cords because the software won't let me use another generic one. Although thanks to your warranty every time one breaks I just go into your store and get a replacement for free so I guess it's like paying $10 for a cord since I get two out of it. Oh well, for now I will be returning every broken cord for a new free one until you make a good enough product to last.

    Terrible Durability

    I have gone through three too many of these chargers. The cable towards the lightning end usually ends up torn or detached. It should be able to withstand normal wear and tear like the micro usb chargers do for androids. It frustrates me that I will have to purchase yet another $20+ cable that will most likely tear in the near future. I don't understand that if this is a persistent issue amongst the majority, then why hasn't Apple done anything to solve it?

    Super expensive...Cheap Quality

    You sell phones for premium price and people pay for it because of its build quality and iOS. Whats so special about the cable you sell? Either drop the price to reasonable level given its inferior quality or start making cables which last longer.

    Lightening cords don't last more than a month or two. don't spend your money on these worthless cords. I cannot believe how cheap apple has become. lifelong fan here changing directions on my electronics because i've spent nearly $100 in apple cords in the past 7 months.

    Go and buy a cable from a market stall

    Apple has the cheek to sell phones what can cost the best part of $1,000 with a cable that are worse quality than available at any market stall. This cable is no better and no worse - the quality is total rubbish - rubbish sold at a premium price. I bought another one after this (from Griffin I think) and it is 100% better quality.

    breaks within a month

    The cords are flimsy and break easily. Who has time to keep buying new cords or sending them in for warranty? I'm glad I held off on buying an iphone 6 because nothing is worth this headache.

    As is the case with so many other reviewers, the lightening to USB Cable for my IPad broke after just a few months. For what we pay for Apple products, we should not have to pour money into poorly constructed cables. Fix this Apple!

    Just perfect!

    I have bought i phone 5s last year in March and this charger simply works despite me drugging it around at work,constantly moving it about my premises and it simply works. The same apply's for my daughters treatment. She is rather careless when comes to charges,but again it is miraculously not broken yet. I have to get more as they are simply "missing" in our house :-D. I am very happy with it.

    Keeps Breaking!!!!

    Cable is very weak at the point where it connects to the lightning end.... Old-style cables were really tough and lasted for years, but these are quite frankly, pathetic. If you even wiggle them or bend it slightly it breaks inside; i've spent for fortune on these because my kids aren't as careful as me, but then they shouldn't need to be cos the cable should be tougher.... PLEASE apple sort it out! I can buy a 3rd part cable that's 50 times tougher... in fact that's exactly what i will be doing from now.

    SAVE YOUR MONEY!

    Go ahead and save your money by buying a non-approved cable. These are no better. You'll get 2-4 months from a non approved one, but spend $2-3 on it. Buy ten of the non-approved ones and you'll come out way ahead.

    Steve Jobs is rolling over in his grave. These things are some of the most important apple products made, but they don't last more than a few months. Pathetic.

    Cheap shoddy goods

    Like other cable split ,I am a disabled OAP and my I pad 2 is very necessary to me for shopping and keeping in touch with family and friends etc..I can ill afford the expense in replacing cables and the hassle and waiting for it to arrive.My fist cable lasted about 10 moths ,I am now on my 5 th.where is the ( British is Best. ) policy,or are they all made abroad now?Come on Apple do something about your shoddy goods.

    I am convinced that the people who wrote the 5 star reviews were all paid by Apple because these cords are absolutely atrocious. I have personally been through at least 5 of these cords in just over a year and a half with my iPhone 5s. It really puzzles me that Apple charges $20 for an item of such poor quality and does not care enough about their users to produce a product with quality that matches that value. The point at which I lost all faith was when I discovered that my MacBook Pro charge was constructed with the same terrible quality and cost nearly 80 dollars to replace. Apple cares nothing about its users, as it continues to release these cheap products. At the end of contract I will consider moving to a new non Apple phone.

    Very poor

    I use my iPad on a regular basis. I look after my cables but for some unknown reason I have to buy a new lightening cable virtually every 2 months. I do not carry my cable around and I recharge each night. Some comments I have read suggest that you should always unplug holding the end connector and not the wire. I do this and they still fail. However in most other manufacturing anomalies the manufacturer listens to all their customers and tries to resolve the problem. I don't see this happening. I like my 2 iPads bt I must admit, sadly, I may go back to the 'dark side'. Think of something guys, it is only a cable but it really is ...........

    the average life span of these chargers seems to be 6 months! but there's nothing you can do about it because you need one to charge your phone. I hope they fix these soon or at least replace them.

    I am so angry, i am currently on my second wire and i am going to have to buy a third as my phone has stopped being charged by the cable. it is really criminal that apple charges you a minimum of 500 pounds for the phone and then charges another 15 pound every time their obviously faulty cable stops working which for me is every 4-6 months . i will never be buying an iPhone ever again.
