    Also disappointed :(

    • Written by from Scottsdale

This keypad worked for several months and then just quit working. When that happened I searched the troubleshooting section of the user manual with no luck, so went online to see if there was something I could do. I was extremely disappointed to find out that many, many others had the same problem with no solution. I do NOT recommend this product and am surprised that Apple even sells it.

    Worked great

    • Written by from Elkton

This number pad worked great until it stopped connecting. I removed it and tried to pair it again but it doesn't recognize the number pad. When I was able to use it, it made my life much easier. If it still worked, I would give it 5/5.

Extremely Frustrating Because It Would Not Stay Connected

    • Written by from Fort Worth

I bought this Belkin Bluetooth Wireless numerical keypad for my iMAC. It is completely disappointing because it only stays connected to the Mac for just a few seconds. I will try it with the calculator and everything seemed fine. But a few seconds later, the connection would be lost. This is the second Belkin keypad I got from Apple after returning another one with the same connection problem.

What's more frustrating is it sometimes seems to "remembers" the numbers that it doesn't transmit. This is because when I get fed up with it and switch over to the Apple Bluetooth keyboard using the numbers along the top, it then adds in the numbers that previously would not be transmitted so now you have additional numbers in your equation!

    Very disappointing in this product.

Frustrating at first but now love it

    • Written by from Bradford

The quick start guide which came with it was nigh on useless - all it said was put in batteries and pair. As a result I had a device which thought it was a keyboard and wanted me to press the key next to the space bar! After a bit of searching on the belkin website I found that I should switch bluetooth off and then on again. As all the input devices I have are blue tooth, I abandoned that idea. I tried various tricks like taking the batteries out and putting them in again, pairing it again until I hit on the plan to disconnect it and reconnect it and then it realised what it really was and began working perfectly. I worry that a lot of people would have given up before getting to this stage though.
Now it works just fine and will make life much easier being able to input numbers.

    Lags behind several steps

    • Written by from LAS CRUCES

Absolutely unusable! One star is too much! You are trying to enter a series of numbers and it either skips entirely or gets parts of one number intermingled with others! I am surprised that Apple would have such an item in their listing.

I own two - One still works

    • Written by from Granbury

Less than 12 months into owning this, one of the two units I purchased has stopped working. At first, it failed to connect to bluetooth. I'd manually have to rediscover it. It would work for a session. I'd have to repeat that each session. Sometimes a key would stick (not physically - all keys were fine visually) and the Mac would sound like a machine gun until I opened Settings to undiscover the number pad. What a pain. What a disappointment. The one that still works is pure perfection and I dread the day it too stops working. I guess I should give this a 2-1/2 star rating since I'm currently 1 for 2, but I really think any failure (and it would appear from the reviews, mine is far from an isolated case) should be reported as a 1 star rating. And yet NO OTHER VENDOR (including Apple) has addressed the obvious need for this product!? What am I not understanding about 10-key number pads here? C'mon, Apple. Step-up!

    Disappointing, would not recommend it

Connection fails every 10 seconds, quality is mediocre compared to Apple's keyboards.
I would not recommend this product especially in regard to the price

    Don't Buy it!!!

    • Written by from CHICAGO

After working with the wireless Belkin Keypad for a year, it safe to say after chances given "Don't buy it!". Apple should call Belkin to the Round table and give them a tongue lashing and tell them to "Step up and contact Our customer and make it right!'. I only bought it because I thought Apple back it up and I even gave it a extended chance. I work with customers live over the phone and on chat line, and I get credit card information and my calls are monitored, how embarrassing that I have to ask them to repeat the Credit info because the kepad lagged and didn't record the numbers correctly! How disappointing for Apple to allow this! I will never buy another Belkin product and it makes me wonder who in Apple is the Bedfellow with this Company? Shame on you guys!!

    Also very disapointing

    • Written by from Almere

I bought this wireless keypad, because I use a lot of financial data.
A wireless keypad is very handy.
Unfortunaly the keypad would conect to my Imac and when it does sometimes
it is only for a few moments.
I realy can not recommend this item, if you want soemthing like this, please look further.
I find it a waste of good money and not price worthy.

    Doesn't Work!

    • Written by from Camberwell

I only have one thing to say and that is that this terrible piece of junk doesn't even work! It connects by bluetooth then you can tap on every single key and the mac will not recognise any of them! What a joke! DO NOT BUY!

Since updating to OS X 10.10.1, this keypad connects, but provides no input. Belkin's website is a joke. Useless, pretty piece of metal now.

    Good but not great

    • Written by from Moorebank

The numpad when sitting side by side with the genuine apple wireless keyboard looks identical and matches the apple keyboards profile perfectly.

If the Key strokes on the numpad felt the same as the apple keyboard I would have rated it 5 stars.

I use the numpad for data entry in MYOB and it works great. I Have none of the issues others have noted in their reviews i.e. connectivity issues.

The Numpad powers down into standby mode after a period of inactivity, and when you resume using it it buffers your keystrokes until it powers on and connects with your machine then sends the buffered strokes to your machine, this happens in a second or less and causes no issues for me.

Battery life is good it has been in use for several months now without needing the batteries replaced and used daily.

If apple made a wireless keyboard with a full set of keys I would purchase this over the welkin numpad but they don't so this will do and is preferable over a wired keyboard.

    Belkin Bluetooth Wireless Keypad

I am not sure why so many negative reviews for this product, I had no problems whatsoever syncing the keypad with my Mac. Exactly what I was looking for. However, it's too early to tell how long the battery will last.

Sorry for my bad english, but this product is so cool, then i decide to write this review. Everything works as it should be. Even on Windows ran through parallels desktop. As wrote earlier, there is no battery indicator. It's only the deficiency. Must have anyway.

    Bushleague Setup...but works

    • Written by from Calgary

I got this working (via online customer support) just before returning it. The key was, believe it or not, removing and reinserting the batteries. They would save a lot of agony if they included that tidbit in the quick start guide....and also the fact that it doesn't recognize it for the device it is, but rather another full sized keyboard....and you have to do a workaround and select the US keyboard option. It works but it was quite the runaround to get there. My guess is a lot of people return this item who just don't know to reinstall the batteries, I almost did.

Seems to be working fine now, so far so good.

    Two down...

    • Written by from Healdsburg

I've now purchased two of these key pads. The first one paired, after some difficulty with appearing and then disappearing. For a short time it worked as advertised. Within a month, however, the first one failed completely. I got a second on which seemed to work better. However, after three months, it, too, failed completely. I would not recommend the purchase of this keypad.

    Unreliable

    • Written by from Brighton

This is a piece of junk. When you do get it connected after hour of frustration, it is slow, cuts out and stops working. There is no warning, but it gets worse when the battery life gets low. Mine is now a door stop as it will not work at all, even with new batteries. I cannot believe a quality company like apple has these in their stores. Less than 1 star!!!!

    Waste of money

    • Written by from Ashburton

I should have read the reviews before buying this. I thought it would complement by wireless Apple keyboard, but it consistently drops out and have trouble reconnecting as well as incredibly short battery life. I have decided to just buy an Apple corded keyboard with a number pad.

Was not working in 3 weeks - just could not switch it on.
Does not show battery level (in comparison to Apple wireless devices) - very inconvenient.
