RUBBISH not even worth one star

    • Written by from Norwich

I have had the Belkin wireless numeric keypad for a few months now, and have finally given up on it and bought a wired keyboard with the numeric pad built in. Seems I have had pretty much the same problem as everybody else, sometimes it works and another time you press the numbers and it takes ages for them to appear on the screen. Apple did try to assist me over the phone but I am still having the same problems. If I re-start my Mac it seems to be ok for a little while but then it will suddenly stop again. A really frustrating keypad, which in my opinion Apple should not sell.

Was good for a couple of months but now NO GOOD!

    • Written by from Braddon

I bought mine around 10 months ago, it was pretty good for awhile but now just won't connect at all.

Also FYI for Adobe InDesign users, the keyboard is not compatible with the shortcuts in InDesign that require a numerical keypad, that is a bummer.

Why do I have to give it even one star?

    • Written by from Wildwood

I've had the same frustrating experience as many others I see making comments about this key pad. It works OK sometimes, but then quits for no apparent reason. It disconnects itself in the middle of a job. Sometimes there is a delay before the numbers appear which is not acceptable since alpha characters are taken in real time. The pad was installed at the Apple store by an Apple employee when I purchased the computer. I returned the pad when it didn't operate properly and was given a new one. It didn't work either. I have now junked the wireless Bluetooth keyboard (although the keyboard was not the problem) and the numeric key pad, and bought the full numeric keyboard using the USB port. Problem solved.
How can Apple risk its reputation by selling something of such obvious poor design and quality?

    Does Not Work

    • Written by from Sun City

I purchased this as I like to have a calculator type set up on my keyboard. I worked initially and I was very happy with it. Now after a couple of weeks it has stopped working. My iMac says that it's connected, but the input from the keyboard is not working. Very frustrating and disappointed with the Keypad. I can't find my receipt or I'd take it back.

I bought it an hour ago. It won't connect to my Macbook pro. I put several sets of brand new batteries in it, and it won't even register.

LISTEN TO US... do not waste your money!

    • Written by from Newbury Park

Belkin are you listening? Not only did the keypad stop working, I spent hours, days on the phone trying to resolve issues, sent it back ( I had to pay to ship) then waiting forever for the new one. The first one and the second one work,( or rather don't work) exactly the same. Disconnects at will, delete button doesn't work. Customer service (if you can call it that) was worthless. The people, and there were many, that I spoke too were very nice but this particular Belkin product and the system to support it need to be recalled.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - BUY THE APPLE EXTENDED KEYBOARD INSTEAD

    • Written by from Surbiton

After a year or so of trying to use this with any kind of consistency in an office environment I have chucked it in the bin and ordered the Apple Extended Keyboard - wouldn't even sell it on Ebay as I would feel guilty palming it off on someone else. Constantly loses signal, constantly won't connect, constantly connects but won't work, constantly links to other computers in the office by itself, works maybe 40% of the time, painfully slow typing. Please do not waste your money! Unfortunately I have had to give it one star in order to post this scathing review.

    This is no good

    • Written by from Frederiksberg C

I bought this keypad and have had no luck in pairing it with neither my MacBook Pro nor my iMac running the OSX 10.9.4. I can find hundreds of report on the internet from other people having the same problem. I thought Belkin meant guaranty for good stuff working with Apple devices. This Keypad is not worth the money.

    No good

    • Written by from Whakatane

it does not do what its supposed to do.
It interferes with the Apple wireless keyboard and Apple magic mouse, plus wont always connect.
I tried using it on an iMac 27 running OS X 10.9.
Its hopeless. Gave it 2 months to prove itself, trying to diagnose the problem with Apple technical team and Belkin support
    Returning it now

The bad reviews are NOT because of the bad instructions

    Looks good......

Will not stay connected (why didn't I read the other thousand reviews here that say the same thing??), so frustrating, & I am most disappointed because before this I was never steered wrong by my Apple store, this makes me question all future purchases.

    Terrible and unreliable

    • Written by from Maplewood

I've had mine 6 months, and I cannot get it to stay connected to my computer - even though it is says it is "connected". This is the most frustrating product I've ever used with my iMAC. DO NOT BUY IT.

    Disappointed and Frustrated

    • Written by from Brisbane

Bought the Belkin Numpad from an Apple store without seeing the reviews; first mistake.

Got home and tried to connect it and after much frustration and one totally unhelpful call to Belkin (non-) Support in Australia gave up but it eventually connected but it had to be continually woken up to use.

It also caused interference with my Magic Mouse which I didn't realise that that was the cause of the problem until the Numpad finally stopped working and won't reconnect again regardless of what I do.

It's now an expensive paper weight!

    Waste of money

    • Written by from Doylestown

Bluetooth connectivity is so bad (despite changing to new batteries for each use) that I simply stopped using it completely. Intermittent connectivity meant data was being entered into wrong spreadsheet cells with catastrophic impact. Many hours of work destroyed.

Also remember to return within 14 days or Apple will refuse to refund your money - with soooooooooo many bad reviews I was a fool to buy this and you will also regret it. Believe the vast majority of the reviewers - I gave it one star only because that was the lowest rating. Zero would be more accurate. Apple let themselves down by selling this in their store.

    Disappointed

    • Written by from Toronto

I purchased this keypad from the Apple store. It was easy to set up, but the connection kept dying. I just figured it was a power-saving thing.. usually pressing a key wakes it, then you can start using it. However, it altogether just stops working for no apparent reason. You need to disconnect and then reconnect it using the bluetooth menu in order to reset the connection, then it functions for a few more minutes.

Even though it looks and feels solid like Apple's keyboard, it lacks the same reliability.

    It's just a paperweight now.

    Not worth the money

    • Written by from Westminster

The problem is it never stay connected or paired to the iMac. I spend 20 to 30 minutes to BlueTooth re-pair or re-connect.

once you get it to connected it will only stay connected while you are entering numbers, pause for 10 minutes then you will have to enter the first digit twice, once to re-establish connection and once to actually enter the digit.

    Just buy a real keyboard!

    Disappointing!

The idea of a wireless keypad seemed perfect!!
This product is garbage and a waste of 50 bucks! It connects for a minute or two then disconnects. It will not stay connected. I type into it and it's either delayed but most often it's simply non-responsive because it disconnects so soon after it connects. I wish I would have never bought this accessory. This product really deserves NO stars!

    Great in Theory

    • Written by from Coto de Caza

It was between this keypad and the larger wired Apple keyboard with the 10 key. A wireless desktop was really my goal but just not happening with this item unfortunately. Worked decent for a week or so and then started fizzling out. The keystroke feel of this product is not the same as the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard either but the styling is spot on. Returning this product today with hopes and dreams of an all-wireless desktop dashed.
