    Unreliable

    • Written by from Flushing

I received this as a gift when I got my new car. Because of the placement of my lighter, it could not support the weight of my 5S and would constantly fall over. A few weeks ago, it started breaking to the point where the clicker had fallen off. It finally broke yesterday and I won't be replacing it with this again.

    Total garbage

Don't waste your money. It sounds great... When it works. If you turn a corner, it flops over and disconnects... If you go over a bump, it disconnects.. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone

    Tuneable Hands Free

    • Written by from Findon

I bought this from the Apple shop in Brighton as I needed a simple hands free kit for the car. It doubled as a charger which was a bonus. I used the kit for about a week before it fell apart. It was not durable enough for the job and was more gimmick then practical. I took it back and got a refund.

    Good idea but

    • Written by from Calgary

It is a great idea, but it did not work with an otter box case, and who doesn't have a case on their phone?

The arm did not stay in position very well, I found it would continually drop over each bump.

    Sound quality was ok.

It does not like to stay in the 12v adapter, and the hand free was not the greatest. I would save your money and replace your factory stereo with a Bluetooth stereo and never look back.

The Problem I had when using this Product

    • Written by from Silsbee

When using this equipment everyone complained that they could not hear me very good, that I was fading in and out, so they were only catching bits and pieces of the conversation. Everyone was having me repeat myself constantly. I returned the product due to the issues.

    May never regain my hearing

    • Written by from Oakville

Okay the title may be a bit over the top. BUT, there was so much feedback noise coming through my speakers it rendered the music virtually unlistenable. Great concept, didn't work in my 2006 Chevy Uplander. Worked fine in my MINI.

Great alternative if your car's audio does not have the Bluetooth feature like mine.

    Great product but...

    • Written by from Summer Hill

The built quality is great. The lightning connection and 3.5mm AUX jack work a treat. One fatal flaw that makes this a 2 star review is that it feels having the cigarette lighter as the anchor of this unit is counter productive. The connection, being circular, rocks, slips and falls sideways when driving over bumps. Belkin tried to combat this with provided rubber sheaths for the connection however that made matters worse in my case.
Also it would be nice if the AUX connection was static and built in like the lightning connector... kind of annoying to have to plug in the Aux separately when it could be fixed in place.
Good product if you can get it to stay still, but unfortunately I had to return mine.

    Great alternative

    • Written by from Nashville

Great alternative if you don't have integrated hands free system in you car. Very easy to use. The sound quality on both music and phone calls is great. The arm is a little short since my power source is vertical an lower than most (2011 VW Jetta). Works best without a case. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase.

    Not Bad!

    • Written by from Abbtosford

I was impressed with the sound quality that came through my car stereo. The unit was quite stable in the adapter. However the iPhone itself wasn't super secure at the top. With a bit of jiggling it could come forward. The top clasp would be sufficient if the phone had no case, but I'm sure most do. Having said that it is not likely it would come out easily because it would be tilted back. Prior to this device (I am hunting because I upgraded to an iPhone5) I had a window mounted suction cup and I find that when using it for GPS purposes it's difficult to look down rather than across. In summary great for playing music through the car stereo, sits to low in my car for GPS purposes, good device to car attachment, less than great phone to device attachment.
