    Poor performing product

    This scale is supposed to seaminglessly integrate into iOS, however it performs very poorly with respect to wireless integration. The Bluetooth connection constantly dies and needs to be frequently restarted in order to communicate with my iPhone and transmit data. We have come to expect superior performance from products sold in Apple stores, and this scale falls far, far short. After struggling with the scale for two weeks, we decided to return it.

    Inaccurate scale with terrible connectivity.

    I'm considering throwing this out with the trash. Not only does the Bluetooth connection fail after uploading data requiring reconnection when you need to upload a new reading, but the scale is wholly inaccurate.

    I can live with bad connectivity but not an inaccurate weighing scale.

    Last night I went to bed weighing 202.1, this morning I weighed 202.7. Either I was eating sandwiches in my sleep or this product is broken.

    Total waste of money.

    Complete waste of money.

    The setup took me almost two days to succeed, the bluetooth connection gets lost some time and the scale puts itself into setup mode all the time. Ah, and not to forget: The sync between the app and the scale constantly fails (tried it with 3 different iOS devices and 1 Android device, by the way).
    Withings shows how to make a miserable product from a great idea.
    Not worth the money (or even ANY money). :(

    Avoid This Product At All Costs

    This is a bad product, and Apple should stop carrying it. I have purchased three, the most recent being a purchase I made when I saw that Apple stores were stocking the scale, which I took to be a sign that the prior problems have been solved. Be aware. They haven't. The app is very buggy, the scale keeps falling off Bluetooth, and all in all, the scale is a very poor product. Someone should be able to make a good scale that integrates with the iPhone. Plainly Withings can't or wont.

    Worst purchase of all time! ------------ STAY AWAY FROM WITHINGS!!

    From time to time, the withings scales will stop upload data for no reason.

    The withings scales keep losing its setting, you'll be forced to re-do the setup regularly.

    The weight measurement contain a 4~5 lbs error, depend on how far apart your feet were on the scale.

    The heart rate measurement simply not accurate.

    The withings app is worst app I ever used.

    If you're looking for a smart scales, STAY AWAY FROM WITHINGS!!!

    totally worthless

    No matter what I do and after researching for hours, I can't get the bluetooth connection to stick. I have to re-set it every time I weigh myself, completely defeating the purpose of purchasing the scale. Waste of $$ in every way.

    TOTALLY USLESS PRODUCT DO NOT BUY

    Well because of medical reasons I need something like this as I am under weight and the hospital need accurate daily recordings of weight and diet. I am now on my 5th one yes thats right my 5th one. I have just email my Apple rep and basically told him enough is enough. Yes the Bluetooth and Wireless connectivity has failed yet again rendering the scales totally useless. I have expressed my feelings to Apple and don't understand with all these negative comments why they don't take these and other Withings products off the shelves as they are no where near worth the money because the build quality of the electronics are totally useless. A note to all unhappy customers which I have found out is go and blast on Withings Facebook page they don't like it one bit trust me I think they even tried to block me cause I keep blasting there build quality and useless products. I am doing well 5 scales and 4 Pulses so far within 12 months.

    Lost connectivity

    Had these scales for a week. The scales have lost connectivity twice in that timeframe and its not syncing with the app. Its a great concept, but seems poorly implemented. I'm going to return them to Apple as I just can't be bothered logging support calls and wasting time. It really should work straight out of the box as advertised.

    Do Not Buy

    Wow! I have two of these Scales and what pieces of junk they are. Both are less than 2 months old and quit working. They will no longer connect to my network or via bluetooth to my iPhone, iPads.

    To make it worse I cannot even contact the company because they seem not to exist after they collect your money. Huge disappointment!! If anyone has a phone number for them or an address I would appreciate knowing what they are. Even Apple does not know how to contact them.

    Good concept - horrible product

    All I wanted was to have a scale that would send my weight to an app, so that I could track my weight over time. This product is not providing this basic function. The scale will not sync with the app and the bluetooth connectivity won't seem to stick. I am quite surprised that Apple would let such an unreliable product grace its shelves.

    Waste of Money

    Don't waste your money. This is just a weighing scale which sends yours measurements on a IPhone. Other than that it's does not measure your fat mass or your pulse accurately. It has a error of over 30%. Waste of money

    Inaccurate in all areas, returned for refund

    I bought a Withings Smart Body Analyzer with high hopes for a really well made device with great automation and connectivity. It delivers on all of these but fails horribly on the main reason for buying it - measuring my weight, body fat and pulse.

    Set up was straightforward, but every time I used it, it reported a different weight. And this wasn't hours or days between measures, it was getting on, stepping off and stepping back on again. Weight varied by anything up to several kg on occasion. Moving my body a few degrees forward, back or side to side induced a significant change in reported weight too.

    Body fat measure was, dare I say it, even worse. I'm an average size (my BMI is in the normal range) but the Withings never reported a body fat percentage lower than 50%! I mean, come on, I'm probably a little overweight now but I spent a long time in the gym for many years and I was utterly gobsmacked when I saw the first measurement. I assumed it was an initial error, but repeated measurement over the following week gave variations of 50-59%, and again never consistently. I know body fat measures like this aren't the most reliable, but it's got to be at least in the right order of magnitude to hold any value.

    Pulse measurement was equally bad. Woke up, got out of bed, got onto the scales, Should have been 70ish pulse. Reported anything up to 146 bpm and more. I don't think I saw more than a couple of readings below 100, even after a relaxing evening or sleep.

    I must be the most unhealthy person in existence according to the Withings.

    Anyway, gave up and returned it for a refund as "totally unfit for purpose". The assistant didn't bat an eyelid and just refunded the full amount.

    Sorry Withings, the device looks nice and is well made, but it's as useful as a glass brick for the intended use.

    BROKE DOWN AFTER ONLY 6 MONTH OF USE...

    Nice scale on the website, disaster in real life. Does not synchronise properly with an already backward application on the iphone. 6 months after purchase the scale simply stopped working. If the scale is not placed on a perfectly even surface it will display different readings for two consecutive measures. Bluetooth takes forever to sync with iOS 5. Do not recommend this purchase.

    Nothing but issues so far.

    The scale itself seems to be well designed and well thought out. Unfortunately neither the iOS app or web dashboard are working 100% for me. The app crashes every time I try and access the My Devices section, which is needed if you'd like to add additional devices, or update the firmware.
    The web dashboard won't allow me to edit some user preferences, language and measurements no matter what I set them to won't correctly save. Notifications won't save.

    Basically, the iOS app and Dashboard experience have me regretting my purchase.

    It was good (but just in the beginning)

    In the beginning everything was fine, but after 6 months it started to present problems and I contacted the Withings Customer Service. Again, in the beginning the service was good, but after spending one month talking to them and receiving misleading information I'm tired. Hopefully I think the problem will be solved and I should get the replacement the next week. At least that's my hope.

    Can't use the heart rate monitor

    If you care about the heart rate monitor functionality at all then don't get this scale. It's wrong at least 40% of the time. I had the unit replaced and the new one was just as bad as the one I sent in. And it can be off by 50 beats per minute. Completely useless. And support will just tell you that you are using it wrong. Will never buy another Withings product again.

    Don't bother, too expansive and isn't accurate

    I've had it 24hrs and I'm returning it to Apple. Doesn't work on carpet, despite the 'carpet feet' that it comes with. BPM is way too high - I've had resting BPM of 89, 92 and 99! I'm a hiker in my 30s. When I came home after being at work it needed to be re-synced with my iPhone - 'Setup Failed' 4 times, so I had to delete the scale and go through the installation process again. £129 - maybe for generation 4 is out.

    Inaccurate measurements

    I weight in 5 times within 10 minutes and came out with 5 different measurements... You might want to look for something else if you hate returning items.
