    Excellent keyboard, shoddy customer service

    • Written by from San Francisco

Loved this keyboard… until the shift button on the left side magically stopped working eight months in (capitalizing some letters, making some letters just not register at all)-- and need to switch the keyboard off and on every single time it's used in order for the iPad to detect it.. after only very light use during that time. Their website is confusing about how to go about accessing the warranty and their customer service was absolutely terrible.

    Charging fails

    • Written by from point reyes station

bought it 7 months ago. It no longer recharges. Even though the charge light changes to green, when then hooked up with the iPad it does nothing, goes back to blue. Very disappointing.

    Broken bracket

    • Written by from OAK RIDGE

I really like this product and used all the time. My complaint came when the bracket on the top left which holds the Ipad in the case broke. I tried gluing it back, but it still would not work. Now I am out of $100 and I only had it for a short time. This is a design flaw and I feel Logitech should replace this case to all consumers. You would expect something much more durable for $100. I am very displeased and will probably not purchase any more Logitech products. I just got screwed!!!

    Too many flaws

    • Written by from LONDON

I bought 12 of these keyboards for my organisation.
    1. First I had to replace 9 of them (after just 4 months) because the corners that keep the iPad in place broke off.
    2. Then they kept loosing the connection to the iPad and had to constantly be disconnected and paired again.
    3. Now I have 3 keyboards for which some of the keys simply don't work anymore!
    4. Getting them replaced through warranty is a nightmarish bureaucratic process.
    Extremely disappointed with this product!

Great cover wish they would have carried design to the newer models...

    • Written by from SAINT AUGUSTINE

Had this cover for a couple of years. Perfect design in my opinion. Slides easily in and out of briefcase, connectivity great, battery great etc. I was hoping the new model for the air was the same but has this funky clip made from plastic. Their ME design group took a big step backwards in my opinion. If you have an iPad that works with this keyboard, get this one. Lot of people I know have this and it works great.

    Now useless

    • Written by from Burlington

I did like this initially: clever design with the magnetic strip. But like other reviews, it wasn't long before the corner clips cracked and then completely broke. I've been trying to figure out a way to fix it, but have not yet come up with anything. And it is unusable now. I agree with other users that for $100 this is a rip off.

Less important but also annoying: I got the red cover and would recommend against it: it has stained very easily

    Too fragile

    • Written by from Hamden

Like other posts, we were initially pleased with this produce, but after 1-2 months, it slid off the couch 1.5 feet onto carpeted floor and one of the corners that keeps the ipad locked in place chipped off; now it is essentially useless as the ipad won't stay physically connected. Fairly disappointing.

    Fragile junk

    • Written by from EVANSTON

Looks great, worked fine for a few months. Just slid off my bed one foot onto carpeted floor, which completely shattered once of the corner clips. Folio now useless, and can't remove keyboard from folio. As previous reviewers have noted, ridiculously fragile attachment of iPad to cover. Once they break, you can throw the whole thing away!

Going strong after 18 months! Buying the same model for my iPad Air

    • Written by from Concord

This is a great keyboard. I haven't had a single issue with it after 18 months...and I use it daily, at least 3-4 hours. In fact, I think I've only had to re-charge it a couple of times, it holds the charge really well. I don't travel with it too often, but the clip stays in place, no problems trying to attach it at all. I really like the "clicking" sound and touch of the keys. It's surprising to read about all the issues people have had...maybe it's a quality control for newer batches since mine was purchased 18 months ago. Hope I don't have as many issues with this keyboard when I buy one for my "hand-me-down" iPad Air.

Expensive and broke after 5 months

    • Written by from Gleneden Beach

The plastic groove broke off leaving the case/keyboard unusable. $100 waste. I'll look for an alternative.

Went through 3 of these, all failed within a couple of days use

    • Written by from Toronto

The design of the keyboard is pretty good, but Logitech seems to have a real problem with build quality, component quality, and fail rates. Within a couple of days my first keyboard stopped registering a lot of the keys. For example, it just stopped registering the P and D and O keys. I was only using the keyboard for a couple of hours a week, hardly heavy wear and tear. Logitech replaced that one but the replacement developed the same problems, along with a really finicky bluetooth connection (dropped connections, problem recognizing the keyboard, etc). Then my mom lent me her Logitech keyboard and within a couple of days it developed the same kinds of problems. 3 busted keyboards in a row isn't a fluke. I really recommend people *not* buy this. In comparison, I bought the keyboard from Brydge and it has worked beautifully for over two months.

    Great concept, poor design

    • Written by from West Deptford

Bought this case/keyboard for my girlfriend along with the iPad, both from the Apple Store. After 2 months, one of the plastic clips that hold the iPad in place cracked, rendering the case useless. The clips are extremely delicate, and sliding the iPad into the brackets is not very intuitive. If the iPad is not precisely lined up with the brackets, they will crack.

ipad constantly falls out of the keyboard

    • Written by from Laytonville

I loved this at first but my ipad always falls out of the keyboard. I am sure I will end up damaging my ipad. I tried to contact logitech to tell them about this issue and they would not return my messages. This is ALMOST a perfect design if they could solve this issue but for $100, they should make a product that works better.

    Dangerous for your hands!

    • Written by from Heathmont

Really disappointed with the design/manufacturing ! I bought this keyboard for my wife. She stored it in her purse and , when trying to take it out from it, cut herself in her two fingers. There is a part of the keyboard so thin that if you press against it, acts as if it was a razor blade. Be careful!

    Not for iPad Air!

    • Written by from London

I had one of these for a regular iPad with retina display, and it worked amazingly well (until both got stolen). Bought the same for the new iPad Air, and although it works well as a keyboard, it doesn't actually close as a cover, but leaves a large gap of about half a cm, and the small bar above the keyboard marks the screen. I returned the item and got a new one - same problem. If you look at the images provided you can see this must be a design flaw: the side view (image 3) closes for the iPad, but you can see a gap if you click on the same image for the iPad Air. Returning this one, and will wait for proper alternative or re-design. Such a shame as I really liked it for the iPad.

    Overall very pleased

    • Written by from Watertown

I bought this keyboard yesterday along with the iPad Air. Ive owned a iPad 2 for last 3 years. This is my 1st wireless keyboard and very happy with it. But what I noticed it does not allow for auto caps and auto correct. After doing some reaserch i discovered that this problem is normal with all wireless keyboards and Apple iPads or any tablet. Being use to this feature it was at first bothersome but getting use to the fact that I now have to use the shift key and really getting use to spelling words correctly, that is, watch what letters im typing. Other than this small problem I am overall very happy. The keyboard has many great functions!! And love how I can fold it down to make the iPad look like a laptop. Connects using magnets and aliegns it perfectly.

    Over-View

    • Written by from missisauga

I recently purchased this product earlier today and so far I have no complaints.
Its very thin and light-weight, easy to handle and really cool when closed on my iPad.
As a collage student, I think a tablet is the best preference for on campus use. Having a Logitec keyboard makes it that much easier to have all my assignments done on time and organized.

As one should assume, I wrote this review with my new keyboard. thank Apple and the creators of Logitec.
