Delighted to see this now being sold at the Apple store. After trying and returning another brand iPad case that incorporated a mini keyboard (the keyboard was too small to be useful) I purchased this two years ago. Though I don't use it all the time, it is a great accessory that I recommend highly. For the reviewer who panned it as poor design, if you turn it off when carrying it around, you will never have accidental keystrokes.

I have a wifi only iPad; I've even used this stand & keyboard with my iPhone.

Very convenient. When Bluetooth is on iPad battery drains fast. Simple solution turn off when not in use. Conserves keyboard battery too.

I bought this on a lark and find myself using it all the time. Well put together, it holds your keyboard securely for traveling around and forms a very sturdy place to secure your iPad. Especially good for people who do a lot of writing on the go, though I usuall use it at home. I'm using mine with an iPad 3 but since the iPad just sits there on top the iPad mini should be fine too.

The velcro tabs are larger than they need to be. If a user is in the habit of very firmly pressing the tabs into place, I can see that disengaging the tabs might eventually cause the velcro to come lose.

This is a very simple, well designed product.

One trick that I think the designers missed: the bottom of the cover is fairly slick. A low profile, non skid foot could have been added in two places on the bottom, protected under the velcro tabs, or close along side them, when the cover is closed; and exposed and useful when cover is opened.

Users should remember to turn the keyboard off when done using the keyboard and closing the cover. Subsequent handling will cause random keys to be depressed (through the somewhat flexible cover) wake the keyboard and cause music to start playing (or some other function) on the iPad.

I wanted to use my iPad 2 for business when on trains and planes and this case in conjunction with the Apple wireless keyboard does exactly what I want. Well made and simple

I love this product. It's simple, elegant, and seems robust so far. It's great for those of us who only need a keyboard from time to time and would rather keep their iPad as light and portable as possible the rest of the time. You can keep your iPad in its existing case and as a bonus get to type on a quality, full-sized keyboard. It's stable working on your lap as well.

I've only had the case for less than two months and used it a handful of times. But one of the velcro tabs to keep the case closed has already come unglued. It's frustrating to have to take the time to return something so soon.

I'm a Mac tech, so I buy and consult on Apple tech constantly. I probably own 20-30 bags, cases, shells, and covers for all my gear.

I owned the iPad 1 for a couple years, then bought an iPad 3 this year.

Today I happened to see the Incase "Origami Workstation" at an Apple Store. It was only $29.95 and seemed like it might be helpful (I already owned the wireless keyboard that fits in this product).

This is a GREAT product! When you're using it with an iPad, you can position the iPad in landscape OR portrait orientation. Your iPad will fit in the rest no matter how big or bulky a case it's in (pretty much). It DEFINITELY fits if you have a smart cover on the front and an Incipio cover on the back; and I would bet it works fine with the new iPad 3 Apple 1-piece covers.

This stand is amazingly useful. I bought it in order to be able to use the ipad a bit like a laptop while using the apple wireless keyboard. The keyboard attaches securely and easily and the stand acts as a keyboard cover when it is not in use. The ipad fits perfectly between the keyboard and the case when it is stood up. A fab purchase and very impressed!

... to my iPad 2 and its wireless keyboard. I bought them together so I could travel complete to campus and cafes and to visit my family in Hawai'i and it all worked out better than I imagined. I don't even feel like I'm carrying separate components - I feel like I'm carrying my 10-hr laptop with me. It is a truly perfect fit for the Apple wireless keyboard, and it holds the iPad 2 beautifully and things work in either portrait or landscape mode. Bottom line - invest in Incase Origami products with Apple products as I did and you will find comfort, peace of mind, and I dare say a complete absence of disappointment.
