I have been regretting not having purchase a hands-free system with my car... until Father's Day, when I got my Belkin Aircast!!
It does everything it says it should, and does it really well.
Conversations are great over the BT, sound is great for music, starts right where the music was left off....
    No complaints whatsoever. Completely satisfied!

This product 'just works' - similar to Apple products. Works great with my iPhone4 and iPad2. Easy to install, easy to set up. The mic can be located virtually anywhere in the car and picks up your voice just fine. Great quality music over bluetooth. The only disadvantage I can see is that the unit does not auto power on when you start the car - you have to tap the button. Not a big deal, still 5 stars from me. Highly recommended.

    Track skip DOES work!

To all of you who have stated that track skip does not work, the trick is to not double press to go forward too quickly. If you press DA_DA rather than d-da, so a small gap in between, it will work. Trust me, I use this method all the time.

No issues with my unit either, but placing circular receiver carefully will pay dividends for interference avoidance on phone calls. Some modern cars have electronics in the cabin which will interefere with the bluetooth bandwidth. Take your walkabout landline in the car, turn down the car stereo and listen to your cellphone through the landline phone, moving receiver to optimum position for accessibility and interference.

Music over A2DP Bluetooth in Volvo C30 High Performance Audio is very acceptable indeed.
    Hope this all helps.

    So close to perfect

When I first installed the product in my car I heard the clicking but I adjusted the jack and it was fine. Great sound quality for both music and phone calls. I wanted something for my car for bluetooth and this is so close to being perfect. The only two things that need to be improved is when you tap the button for pause, play, or hold it for voice dial it is a little slow to respond (I realize it's bluetooth so it's hard to improve that but it would be nice for a little quicker response) also the second thing is it needs to be able to change the song when you double click the button for the Iphone 4.

    Almost perfect

I have not experienced the clicking issues others have. The people I have called were surprised to learn I was on a Bluetooth speakerphone.

The two things missing are double click to move to the next song and click and hold to activate voice dialing. Best part is that music pauses on the iPhone when you shut off the car then starts back up again as soon as the phone & device hook back up. Nice.

    Works well, Sounds like CRP

everything works as it is supposed to. but as with most other Iphone Bluetooth accessories, it sounds like crp. No base what so ever, even in Bass Boost mode. I still recommend it for those who want the wireless convenience over sound quality.

    Exactly what I wanted

This product works 100% how I was hoping it would. My car is already equipped with bluetooth call integration, so I wanted a bluetooth adapter that would solely stream audio from my iPhone 4 to the stereo. Not only is the audio quality near-perfect, I can still use the built-in bluetooth in my car to handle calls, while using the AirCast for audio. The tiny adapter stays neatly hidden away in the center console and pairs quickly. I can't comment on how well the AirCast handles phone calls, but I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a quick, neat and convenient way to stream bluetooth audio on the go.

Hooked this up to my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with my iPhone and it sounds great with both calls and (especially) audio. This is the third bluetooth option I have tried for audio through my speakers with stock stereo.. This is the FIRST of those options that produced ZERO static. HIGHLY recommended!

    Missing some points..

The double tap feature to switch tracks does not work with iPhone4..
That was really too bad to find out, since that was a big feature for me as I hate to have to double tap the home screen button and look for the little forward arrow while i'm driving.

There is a crackling noise that another reviewer mentioned which is a little annoying. For me it is only when using it with telephone, not while playing music (otherwise it would be a total deal breaker). The people I have spoken to say they hear a lot of static.

Otherwise really great little device that makes using my iphone for music in the car very convenient..

Bought this in lieu of the Magellan Premium Car Kit for a bluetooth phone and audio solution (along with a window mount).
Phone function works perfectly. No complaints from either end of the line.
Audio: there is a distinctly noticeable crackling noise around the mid to treble range. I don't know if this is my iPhone 3G or this unit, but considering another reviewer had similar problems, I'm going to say it's this unit. I will try various methods to improve this audio quality for one week. I may have to return and get the Magellan (which has problems of its own, it seems).

    Great idea poorly executed

I have been looking for a solution for my 2006 BMW 325i which cannot be retrofitted with OEM bluetooth. I want to be able to make hands free calls that don't suffer from echo or poor sound quality, like I get if I use speakerphone or my car's aux-in. I imagined this would be perfect if I paired it with a splitter to let me do aux-in music as well. I use an iPhone 4 as well as an iPod Classic.

I love the idea for this. Very simple, minimalist design. One big button for everything. Comes with a USB charger for your phone, too.

Unfortunately, the functions written in the manual rarely work as described. For voice activation you're supposed to hold the button down until you hear the voice prompt (manual says this should be ~1 second). However, every single time I try this, I wait for about five or six seconds, and instead of getting a voice prompt, the Bluetooth unit just shuts off. I can inconsistantly get the voice prompt to occur if I hold the button down for a few seconds and guess at when I should release, but it is completely unreliable.

There is also an unreasonable delay between pressing the button and having the phone respond. I understand a delay is inherent in Bluetooth, but not to this degree. I'll double tap the button (as described in the manual) to skip to the next song, and instead of getting the proper reaction, the music pauses after a few seconds, and sometimes comes back on after a few seconds more.

There are a bunch of other little quirks that I was not thrilled about.

I will be returning this for a refund. Belkin, you had a great idea, but you need to seriously refine the operation of this unit.

i always wanted to have a bluetooth on my car stereo instead on my ear. this is a great solution for my problem! Easy to install, work perfectly fine, and only with one multi function button make it even better not just that the price is reasonable!! Like i said: This is a Great solution!!!

I was looking for a good quality way to connect my iPhone4 to my 2007 Subaru Outback and have a bluetooth speakerphone without spending too much money (I have a Pioneer AVH3200BT in my STi and it is perfect but pricey). The Belkin Aircast is a good alternative. Set-up is easy, there is plenty of cord to connect the power and Aux-in cable to the center console and have the Bluetooth speaker on the dash. When powered on it automatically connects to the iPhone4 and plays the last audio track instantly (which can be a pain since I have the Alarm Clock app set to certain music and that's where it starts off). The sound over bluetooth is excellent without any hissing and calls are clear, no complaints from the person on the other end either. However, if you want to listen to the car's radio or CD you will not hear your phone if it rings (you need to turn the Belkin off to hear it or switch to Aux)! I guess you could stream radio from your iPhone but that means you have to rely on 3G streaming. Or keep your iPhone in line of sight with a Proclip Dash mount (which is my plan). Overall a good product for the money.

    Static noise

I bought it and return it in few minutes. A lot of static noise on my Prius 2007 so I change it for the griffin one. Clear sound without static noises but I return that one because of the distortion on high frequencies.

A2DP is not ready yet for the iPhone
