This product does not work properly

I don't know if I'm the only one, but, this thing works half the time and plays sound only half the time the screen works. They both worked at first, but stopped working after a month. I would give this product negative stars if I could..

Quality of Adapter = User Determined Too, Please Read

You are dealing with near-micro plug-ins. One unintended tear-out of cabling will destroy it. Learn from my mistake: Secure computer, spend time designing cable mgmt. system that doesn't jar, pull or bend. Then protect this work from kids, animals, earthquakes, etc. by hiding, taping, covering. Same applies to receiver/external/TV. Don't shrink away from hiring someone qualified. Watch your quality complaints all but disappear!

Bought this from the Apple Store, and it worked great for about a month or so. Then it just stop working. My friend bought one from a Ebay store about the sametime and it's still working fine.

Mine broke within a couple of weeks, just from simple wear and tear. Be careful not to bend wire at all as it may kink and no longer work.

DOESN'T PROVIDE A HIGH ENOUGH RESOLUTION

I tried using this adapter to connect my early 2011 Macbook pro 13" to my 22" samsung HD display. The mac doesn't offer a 1920x1080 screen resolution option with this adapter and thus causes the display to be blurred. It is not suitable for connection of you want to connect to a monitor with HD input. It is better to use a miniDP to vga adapter to get this resolution.

From the beginning the cable is very sensitive. If you barely brush it it causes the HDMI display to start flashing, and it often fails to sync after that. I've had it for only 2 months or so and it has now completely failed. I'd look elsewhere for an adapter...

When the adapter is new, it's a solid. But, I am currently on my second adapter that has failed. It's at a point where it stops transmitting 1080p resolutions. Right now with my current one I have to pinch the cord part of the adapter to get it to show the 1080p resolution.

Ridiculous that this "detail" is on the fine print.

Apple should be very clear about this issue. Complete waste of money.

    Stopped Working after 2 months

This product should come with a warning!! If you touch or move the cable, it will stop working - it is clearly manufactured to be installed and NEVER TOUCHED. It is definitely not worth the money... it was very frustrating to see a blue screen flash on the computer and then failure to detect the attached display. I bought it at the Apple store and was very disappointed that they would sell such a product - I was able to use it only 5 times before it failed. This product is a result of sloppy manufacturing and planned obsolescence. Very disappointed.

Failed after 12 hours of use

Hooked up my 13" Pro to my 42" Toshiba to watch the 12 Hours of Sebring. The day after the race I turned on my TV and it was froze. My TV spent a month in the shop with them trying to recreate the problem. I got it home and hooked all the cables up (including the Moshi adapter) and the TV was froze again. I unplugged the Moshi adapter and the TV came back to life. This piece of junk caused a LOT of frustration! I wish I could give it ZERO stars!

The visual is coming through on my 50" Panasonic Plasma... BUT I should've read the fine print!!! See below... My MacBook Pro is older and so no sound carries through... what a disappointment. Do I upgrade the MacBook Pro.. Hmmm???

Note: *Audio support is only available for MacBook Pro 13/15/17-in. mid-2010 release; iMac 21.5/27-in. early-2010 release

WOW! worked great for the first 4 months until it started to act up for 3 days then just gave up on life. then Good luck with trying to get the problem unresolved without the receipt. WHAT A WASTE! If you move it just an inch it seems like the connection just breaks. This is so aggravating. Trust me... Spend the extra $10 or however much and get one made by apple.

This is a pathetic product. I've had it for 2 months and it has to be specially positioned to stop it making from not displaying a picture. If it isn't at the correct angle and height it doesn't work and makes a horrible noise to the tv. Apple WON'T refund my money, I tried through moshi and now have to pay for postage back to them.
