Is there any documentation on DLNA compatible formats?

I am currently using Avidemux2 to transcode from my various sources (various DVDs, Sony Cybershot and Sanyo Xacti cameras) into the home library. It has many features but seems a bit too technical for me - as I'm only a beginner at this.

I have a Sony Bravia TV with DLNA and it's very picky about the format of video/audio it will accept. At the moment I can only get the following to play:
- video: DVD (lavc)
- audio: AC3 (lavc)
- wrapper: MPEG-PS

Can anyone share some experiences with MPEG-2 output or specifically with the Sony Bravia/DLNA combination?
