Should I get the white iPad or the black one?
Im planning to get a new iPad. A bit confused between the colors. Which of the 2 colors looks better ? I have also heard that white colored iPad becomes yellowish after few months.

Best AnswerI would go for the black one because, even though the white is chic, in the long term the black is a nice solid color and will not go a weird color. Well unless you spray paint it. Or paint it. But then again if you're just going to cover it it doesn't matter what color you get. Anyways, the choice is ultimately you're preference, but I would tend to lean towards the black.
I hope I helped answer your question and good luck with your new iPad, no matter what color you get!- Answered by Daniel S from Houston

Best Answerif you can text fast on your iPhone by using both thumbs, then the iPad mini is the way to go. Both thumbs can reach all the characters so its not not much of an adjustment. The iPad can be tricky to type on because its too big for thumbs only typing yet too small for computer style typing. If you ask me, this is one of the best features of the new iPad mini. Typing becomes a breeze.

AnswerWell, they both serve two entirely different purposes. I'm assuming you don't need a call function?!
If this is the case then obviously the iPad mini is a much better option all round....larger screen etc. And it will save you a few hundred pounds.
If money isn't necessarily an issue then I would personally recommend the New iPad, as it has an even larger display with retina, which looks spectacular for gaming and viewing photos. It comes with a higher spec processor which will allow you to multitask fluidly with ease, also helps if you're into gaming.
But again it depends on your needs.
iPhone 5's are fantastic, I have one and I would not be without, however, if you don't need a telephone then it rather defeats the purpose in my opinion.
Hope this helps :)- Answered by Daniel W

which ipad is best for special needs kids, the iPad mini or iPad2 or 3?
I'm looking at buying an iPad for my daughter with special needs to use for learning as well as assisted communication device. Mini is nice and small, but wondering if too small for her to use. She is 7 years old.

Best AnswerThe iPad 2 is the one I would recommend. It is cheap, has a large screen and is fast and loaded with IOS 6. The App Store will provide great apps for those with special needs, that will help them learn. You can also buy accessories that go with apps to make it more fun for them. It is also cheaper than the iPad 3. However the iPad 3 does have a retina display (3.1 million pixels!) and twice as fast as the iPad 2 but it is £80 more. The iPad mini is relatively the same as the iPad 2 (technology). It has the same resolution screen and the same power as the iPad 2, only smaller. If you have the extra bit if cash, then get the iPad 2.

Should I buy an iPad mini or Macbook Air 11?
I already have a full iPad 3... the 6 month OLD iPad... but I do want a new computer because my Dell stinks really bad... like the battery will die instantly if I unplug it. But I also want a more portable tablet from Apple of course. Nither of them have Retina, I know but I just can't wait for either "next generation" ones. I was going to get a new iPod touch, but the iPad mini is only $30 extra.... so why not get that instead of the iPod. I'm so confused on which to get because The macbook can do EVERY thing that I do on my iPad, but the iPad mini can do everything also... oh, and just recently like yesterday, My dell computer stopped woking properly, so I can't sync my iPad anymore...

Best AnswerI don't understand your reasoning behind wanting an iPad mini when you already have the iPad 3; But go with the MBA. It'll be of far more use than a smaller version of what you already have. And the MBA can do much more than everything you can do on your iPad; It's a more logical choice to skip the mini, and get the Air. If your only concern is that you can't sync your iPad anymore, then skip both. Since iOS 5 was released, it hasn't been necessary to sync you iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch for updates. And you can find an app in the App Store to back up your data.

Can I share the iPad internet with other devices? ie connect my laptop to internet via my iPad?
I am looking to buy an iPad but already have a prepaid wireless 4g modem for my laptop. If I purchase an iPad with a plan can I share it's internet access with other devices and eliminate the modem?
Alternatively can I buy iPad 4g without a plan and use the wireless modem for Australian internet access, but be able to purchase pre-paid chips overseas whilst travelling and use the 4g functionality only at those times?- Asked by William R from Lake Wendouree

can any stylus be used with the new ipad

Best AnswerIf your question is "Is there a Stylus that will work with the new iPad" The answer is yes, there are several, look for "ipad stylus" on google.
If your question is "Can I use just any old stylus i have laying around the house to drive the iPad" the answer is no.
There are two types of "touch screens". The old style "pressure" touch screen (Called a Resistive Touch Screen) which works by identifying where on a device a presure is occuring, and a Capacitive touch screen (I may have the term wrong) which works by identifying where an electrical connection is being made on the screen.
A pressure (Resistive) screen works how you expect, when something pushes down on the screen, hardware within the device calibrates where that pressure is occuring and (in some cases) how hard the pressure is. This is what lets the device know where the "tap" occurs.
iDevices (and many others now adays) have switched from the "pressure" type to the Capacitive type of touch screen: When your finger touches the screen it causes a portion of the screen to gain/lose electrical resistance which is what tells the underlaying hardware where the user is touching.
Generally, most stylus devices are made from some kind of plastic, and plastic is non-conductive. While a stylus works for a Resistive screen (anything that applies pressure allows the hardware to track where that pressure occurs), most stylus will not work on a capacitive screen because touching the screen with a non-conductor like plastic doesn't change the electrical capacitance of the screen. This is also why you can swipe your finger along your iOS device and cause it to do something but if you put your hand under your shirt and try the same thing it won't work. Even something like a metal pen won't work becuase it doesn't create ENOUGH of a connection on the screen.
There's a good article on "how stuff works" that helps explain.- Answered by Douglas W from O Fallon

is an ipad mini and ipad 3rd generation the same device?!

AnswerThe iPad 4th Generation (Unless you can get an iPad 3rd Generation from another supplier) has got a new Apple A6X Chip which is 2x the processing power, 2x the Graphics power and a new Image Signal Processor, improved Wi-Fi to 8.0.11a/b/c&n and new LTE networks added if you want the Cellular version and is a 9.7 inch Retina Display Screen.
The iPad mini has a Apple A5 Chip, Dual-core processor, so will have the same aspects of the iPad 2 but in a smaller version of a 7.9" screen, redesigned by Apple. The screen on the iPad mini isn't a Retina Display though.
It's what you're mainly going to be using your iPad for. If its for heavy graphics, designing, creating and Keynotes the iPad 4th Generation is your best option.
If its just for general browsing on the internet, or just games, little bit of work on Pages, Numbers (not Keynote) then the iPad mini is good for on the go as it is thin and light for you to take with you anywhere.- Answered by Josh R
