Yes, but you need to buy this accessory calledApple iPad Camera Connection Kit. what it is , is a port u plug in to the usb port. o that port you will see to slots one for connecting a camera using a usb cable and one for transferring pics using a memory card. either one works.

I have a complete library on my IPAD and have been reading every day for 6months.The lighting is great,no glare and I love reading on my IPAD,better than a Kindle or Nook Book!

iPads do not have panorama function as iPads have only 5 megapixel camera. Panorama works on iPhone 4S and 5 as they have 8 megapixel camera.

Are ipads a good place to store pictures taken from our camera and our iphones?
Our son recently broke our home laptop. Rather than purchasing a new lap top we are contemplating just purchasing an ipad given we already have work PCs and were already thinking of purchasing an ipad. We only used our home laptop for photo downloading and storage, skype with the family out of town and home finances (quicken). I understand there are apps for home finance available, so confident we could find something we liked, but I'm concerned about photo storage capacity. Our camera is an SLR, we don't take a ton of photos, but enough where I wouldn't want to bog down our ipad with photo storage memory (i believe you can purchase a device to download photos from memory cards). Any feedback on recommended solutions would be much appreciated.

By computer (Windows) you must have to download iTunes for your PC. If it's on Mac, then it's already there.
