Can I use my macbook air in clamshell mode with this case without overheating?

I would love to have my macbook sit on my desk incognito with this case, but I was wondering if anyone has kept their laptop running in clamshell mode with this case closed all the time with an external monitor?

I play online games occasionally and watch youtube videos and I was curious if this would cause any problems if I kept the case closed with my macbook air.
