does this work with usb 3.0 ports in the new macbook airs and pros?

I was looking into a macbook air and saw how low the storage is for the base 11" model. Now looking at the external hard drives, I all I see is usb 2.0. I want to know if this will work out of the box with a macbook air with usb 3.0

    This drive should work with the new MBA but at USB 2.0 speeds. G-Technology has announced new drives with USB 3.0 connections but I haven't seen them at the Apple Store as of yet.
